I was very surprised to see some negative reviews because I enjoyed them so much. The less obvious goal is to achieve more experience points, which translates to a total score. There is no penalty for doing so other than being unable to attack the intended target, obviously. Since this encounter can be quite rare, I suggest always having at least gold available whenever you go out sailing so you don't miss out on the opportunity to buy the item. Unlike the previous game Braveland Wizard where you could grind these dungeons indefinitely, in Braveland Pirate they will eventually run out of monsters. To Arms!
