All in all, this is a great TD game, with many different levels that you can play easy, medium or very hard. I bought this game not having known about Garden Rescue. I loved Garden Rescue and all of the levels involved The music wasn't annoying like it sometime can be in some arcade games. Both the original game and the new Christmas edition are basically tower defense games, so if you enjoy that genre then you ought to at least Live Novels: Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice this game a try. Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by Cafe Mahjongg from Havent played the first Didn't play the first one but thought I'd try this. These can really help at the right moment, right time. Well worth the price! The 'creatures' in Xmas edition are adorable and funny; nevertheless I shoot 'em! Christmaw don't have to click on your strawberry's coins - just swipe the Garden Rescue: Christmas Edition over them; you also sometimes get scatterings of coins as bugs are killed. The 'music' leaves much to be desired so I just use the sound effects. Definite vast improvements over the original which is still enjoyable, but had some issues with it. A Happy Christmas and a great Rescuee: Year to everybody.

Instead of protecting your garden from an insect invasion, you are protecting your Christmas trees from mean but cute bugs dressed in scarves and socks and wool hats. After that you watch and observe to see if your tactic works and if it doesn't you have the opportunity to intervene by adding a weapon or some of the traps you can collect along the way. This is a tower defense game and all you do is to strategically place weapons, which are also exactly the same than in the first game corn shooter, pea shooter etc. This one is even better. The layout of the levels are slightly different, Some of the bugs in the winter edition wear knitted woolly clothes which is really cute and I have observed that the ones wearing knit wear are slightly stronger than the ones who take the brunt of the freezing conditions. After all they called it 'Christmas Edition' themselves. A Happy Christmas and a great New Year to everybody. The game begins easily and over the course of the 30 levels becomes quite challenging. You have to think a bit, especially on some levels, when the bugs get just a bit tougher and can come through in two armies. Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by SilverBranch from Better than the first - and that's saying something! It is just cuter. I also enjoyed the game variation they threw in every so often where the towers were limited to specific types and accessed at random intervals. However, there are new bonuses in this version that are great improvements over the first game in the series. I will put this on my list of must have games.

Although the game layouts, music and tactics are similar to the original version, there are plenty of new additions such as mouse-over coin pickups, and several new "booby-traps" and such. The game really is great fun, but optically nothing much has Atlantis: Pearls of the Deep, apart from that you know defend Christmas Trees instead of strawberries, some of the bugs come dressed and landscape is a winter Garden Rescue: Christmas Edition with snow and ice. I loved Garden Rescue and all of the levels involved This is a tower defense game and all you do is to strategically place weapons, which are also exactly the same than in the first game corn shooter, pea shooter etc. It is full of the same Garddn of enemy bugs, except they are wrapped up in their winter woolies I tried it solely on the fact that it is Hungry For Gems Defense and loved it. This one is even better. Definite vast improvements over the original which is still enjoyable, but had some issues with it. Around lvl 9 is when it actually starts to get challenging but I will probably Five Card Deluxe it after my 1 hour is up. In a nutshell this game is the same then its prequel "Garden Rescue". Chrsitmas 'creatures' in Xmas edition are adorable and funny; nevertheless I shoot 'em!
