We were quickly greeted and sat outside, since we had our dog. I was served, quite literally, cold pinto beans in raw corn tortillas they broke when you grabbed them, c'mon steam them or somethingwith a Potion Bar of cold, over-salted rice pilaf, and more bland pinto beans. I love the burger and fish sandwich with beet hummus for appetizer. In addition to broth, I had Mimi's Favorite Breakfast, which was great. Why, it's a mimosa with a splash of fairy bubbles Catwalk Countdown However, the restaurant is a terrible concept with terrible execution. What is fairy bubbles potion, you ask? Potion Bar were in Boulder for the day and found Shine. GF and delicious vegan pesto. We were seated promptly and had fabulous service from Rick. Breathe in new life into a formerly prosperous farm complete with clucking chickens, mooing cows and buzzing beehives. Not The Secret of the Nautilus. Dive to the bottom of the sea and find various hidden items in numerous eye-teasing locations. The atmosphere was lively and admired how they incorporated so much greenery in their decor.

Absolutely love this restaurant. In this extraordinary puzzle game with spectacular new features, handy bonuses and explosive power-ups you set out on an adventurous quest around the ancient lands of Greece, Troy, Phoenicia, Babylon, Egypt, Carthage and Rome to gather the seven greatest powers of the patron god of the Atlanteans - Poseidon. Service was a delight. It was hands down one of the worst dining experience I've ever had. Luckily, he's into mushrooms because he's a fungi does that joke translate via text? Service- I walked in to be seated and wasn't greeted for quite a few minutes. The ginger in them is delicious. The new location is lovely, although the service is definitely lacking. On one occasion we tried the cocktail menu, and everyone at my table questioned if there was even alcohol in them, as they all tasted very watered down. The biscuit was a little crumbly, but the flavor was great, and I managed to hold it together long enough to enjoy the sandwich. Too precious for words! The vegan slider is amazing too. Hand crafted shine positions fill the first few pages of the menu. Why, it's a pomegranate hibiscus mix with the function of replenishing and uplifting. But, regardless, this place is worth a visit!

And you might be thinking I couldn't possible have tried that many things since I'm from out-of-state, but I can assure you that when I'm there, I order enough to Potion Bar a small army. A wacky menu of shine potions, wines and beers. I love Shine! The new location is lovely, although the service is definitely lacking. Hopefully the owners will retrain their employees to be more attentive and bring back the charm this restaurant was known for. Zombie Solitaire celiac friendly place! She was just real and knowledgeable and funny. The outdoor patio is lovely is it's nice out enough to sit there, even if it's cold they have a fireplace and great lamps!


I like to go here I on the weekend after my workout before my errands and this is a great place to take people from out of town. We met up with my aunt and uncle and were happy to catch up with them as it had been awhile. It was tasty, fresh, and I felt like just what my body needed. They have such positive energy in them and I feel great after drinking them. It also took an hour and a half for us to get through our "meal", which was really just one round of drinks and two side dishes. All the plates were thoroughly cleaned when the waitress came to take take them away! Also, the server we've had the past few visits, Julia, is just fantastic. You must try a potion. I wouldn't say the food is anything incredible but the whole ambiance is an enticing draw. They got rid of the pancakes for some weird reason. Shine offers some unique "potion" drinks that make you feel all bubbly inside. Love the all GF menu, but the food is only mid-level, especially for the price and small portions you get. I don't love their roll that they use as the bun, but I love the sandwich even without the roll. It also took an hour and a half for us to get through our "meal", which was really just one round of drinks and two side dishes.

Boulder, CO Our party of five happened upon Shine on a recent Thursday afternoon for a late lunch We used to frequent Shine when it was on Pearl St. Earn money by selling fresh veggies, juicy fruits, eggs, flowers and honey from his old farm to the townspeople, and spend it on restoring the landholding back to its grandeur and beauty. It's a bit on the pricier end for what they offer but definitely make up in overall experience. But, regardless, this place is worth a visit! I really enjoyed the jackfruit tacos not sure if those are still on the menu or not , and the fairy bubbles drink! They all had a glow about them as well, which makes you want to return again and again to have more of whatever they are having ; This place is definitely a gem that we were happy to find

  2. They got rid of the pancakes for some weird reason. Other than that we enjoyed this spot very much. I've had exceptionally poor service each time I dined here. Went here for a friend's birthday and the food was pretty bomb. We were seated promptly and had fabulous service from Rick.

  3. It's so nice to have a place I can go for happy hour and get non alcoholic drinks that I love! Though hard to find for tourists, if your a local you know the spot, wink wink! Also, the server we've had the past few visits, Julia, is just fantastic. I'm gluten free, and it's rare to find a restaurant that still honors the fact that I eat normal otherwise. The food is incredible and the drinks even better.

  6. I had their hamburger and added bacon, cheese and avocado with a side of sweet potato fries. Other than that we enjoyed this spot very much. Also you can just order a mug of broth, which I'm really into, because I love broth. I love Shine for brunch and lunch!

  7. Drinks- I'm sorry, but I just couldn't get past the wtf reaction I had when reading about their "potions. Unfortunately, I asked for the chicken broth and I'm pretty sure I received veggie broth, but it was still great! I've dined here on 3 separate occasions and had take-out once thankfully my work paid for the take-out, because it was terrible. Well, because Shine fulfills the other half.
