Though it is a nice marketing attraction, anyone to play on this only one mahjong table on the place will be pressed with time for next set of players. I look forward to coming back to Mahjong Cafe in the near future to try other items on their menu. If I were to rank the ones I tried, it would be: mango, purple yam, then green tea. Basically, you match different coffee themed tiles including coffee beans, muffins, tip jars, and sugar. It looked well but soggy to taste. I had the rose crepe cake and rose milk tea. Stomach problem afterwards brought down to one star. The durian definitely had a strong smell but tasted much like the fruit. It looked quite pretty, but lacked a strong flavor of ube. I haven't tried the matcha latte or cakes, but the foods and drinks seemed reasonably priced and it was the perfect cafe to study in. One star off because their sweetness level is a tad low for my liking but I believe they gear it towards Asian taste buds. Very basic white with some uninteresting pictures. A generous large slice of purple sweetness. A delicious sweet treat for sure! I went here because of the good reviews. That takes the fun out but that's the law. The crepe was moist and matcha ice cream was full on green tea flavor. Not serious but had several bathroom runs. We received our drinks within about 10 minutes. Purple Yam crepe cake! This is a cute little cafe on Bell Blvd which has the intent of promoting Mahjong while it serves you tasty snacks and drinks. Overall, I enjoyed the strawberry and banana waffle better, but the chicken is a must try! It looked well but soggy to taste. The place has a mahjong table that diners could sit in and play for a fee while dining. It lost the 'layer feel' after bite. My advice is avoid this place for the synthetic-ness. I'm a fan of purple yam but I was skeptical about how it's going to taste as a crepe cake. See my photo. The mixed fruit tea was very refreshing and included pineapple, mango, passionfruit, and some other little fruits. The mille crepe cake being the most expensive. I tried The Lost Tomb soda they make and its what i like, carbonated with natural flavors not sugary. The staff graciously replaced our drink at no charge. We actually tried to hurry up and eat our cake so we can leave to French workshop across the street so that we can get some peace and quiet to talk at. I never learned how Cafe Mahjongg play the game and would stack the tiles to build an Awesome looking pyramid that would have made King Tut proud! The tiles collection also includes the 1 or 2 blank tiles, so keep that in mind if you are playing a real game. They could use another mahjong set and table so more then one table would play. It would probably be better to get a few, solid mahjong trays that can be moved off the table so people don't spill food and drink on them the current floppy mat already has stains. The vanilla ice cream was nothing too special--it actually tasted more like durian ice Cafe Mahjongg, and I'm Sparkle Unleashed they used the same scoop for a previous order of durian ice cream so some of the flavor got onto our order. We got the waffle with bananas, nutella, CCafe ice cream on top.
