Yes, you play the typical way, clear the tiles from the board by matching like symbols. Trying to uncover all the gold tiles in 'x' amount of moves I found frustrating. I say give this a try-and use a game credit--otherwise pass it up. Best bet it you have to have music is to mute their music and play some Christmas music from your own music library. I found it so relaxing which is more than I found the game. Not getting all stars which is fine with me since I go for entertainment value and not the competitive value. It has bright and colorful graphics-but not a whole lot of effort went in to the visual quality. I personally love Mahjong but prefer having themed tiles and not standard Chinese. I like to pay for relaxing but you can also challenge yourself if you want.

Rating got rounded up because this game doesn't pretend to be anything it's not. So, if you want a Mahjong game to relax or if you want a challenge with friends or family during this holiday get this game. This seems like a good game to play around the holidays with family and as an easy past time while waiting for the laundry to get done. Let's just get that out of the way. However, at the beginning of each level you are given a set of criteria to meet to receive up to 3 stars - such as collect "x" number of gold tiles you can't pass the level without collecting them all anyway so I found this rather moot , pass the level in "x" number of moves and I frankly don't remember the third.

  8. Nice, casual game playing. I would totally be weird enough to redo any level that was less than 3 stars over and over and over and over until I got 3 stars in EVERY level. Hated the start up music as well
