You and your colleague, Detective Dupin, have accepted an odd case at the ancient House of Usher – to find the twin sister of Roderick, who has vanished without a trace. As you delve deeper into the mystery, the connection between the twin's malady and the old estate appears even more entwined. Why are townspeople disappearing? What secret is locked in the forbidden library? And can you and Dupin find the answers before more innocent victims are claimed?
Kudos to ERS!!! What is missing is the FG and to tell you the truth, I enjoy playing a game without having easy access to help. In this game, our story begins with a new case which involves the disappearance of Madeleine, twin sister of Roderick. A review is, after all, only a personal opinion, not a blanket hatred of any game! I have come to expect the same type of artwork, voice-overs and music and I have to admit, their games continue to entertain me and thrill me. I am thoroughly enjoying the story and the gameplay so I know that this game is an immediate purchase for me. It just sits on the left side of my screen and has no function as far as I can tell. You also come across a mysterious power that is called the Reborn One that has the ability to bring stone to life and what that has to do with all that is going on is a mystery in itself. You will earn achievements and when you come across a dollhouse and use a magnifying glass to collect a certain amount of coins which will be used to equip your criminal laboratory. There are no extras which sometimes I do prefer if the game holds enough challenge which this game does. Morris has filled us in a bit, it would seem that the Usher twins, Madelein and Roderick, share a physical bond, when one of the twins is injured the other will feel this same pain, to the point of physical impossibility, if one is given a vaccination they both bleed! I really think BFG might consider having all reviewers state their approximate ages, ie. These graphics are just as good as they were a few years ago. I really liked the hidden object scenes where they would give you a short riddle or description and you had to find that item, the entire HOS was done that way!

As always, you have dark corners to explore and items to find in order to unlock doors and solve puzzles. Especially the Usher Twins, and what's up with the maid? This was a quality purchase and I am looking forward to playing all the other Mad Mouse Tales games. Azada: In Libro you eventually unlock the "Reborn One" that has the power to bring stone items to life -- ravens, a flower, a dog, and who knows what else. It just sits on the left side of my screen and has no function as far as I can tell. Detective Dupin and I have enjoyed the Fall of Usher because it requires some thought as to what to do next, and the puzzles were well thought out. I would say that given what I have seen of the demo, this is definitely a game that I will want to have in the CE version. I have come to expect the same type of artwork, voice-overs and music and I have to admit, their games continue to entertain me and thrill me. God Bless Everyone! You and Dupin occasionally exchange quips and you pick up clues and also use your camera to take pictures for Cart Cow album which also earns you an achievement. As we investigate further we learn that both twins have a rare illness, even stranger Zumas Revenge the fact that whenever they leave the estate they become deathly ill, and must return immediately. The back Sparkle 2 is delivered to us in various ways, some character reminiscences, combined with sepia animated sketching. This helper will prove to EcoMahjong very useful given some very stony situations that must be resolved.
The story had a suitable ending. But all the same, I would probably buy the SE just to see how this amazing story pans out. The voiceovers are quite good but ERS has seemingly taken a step back and has not included lip-synced voiceovers in their past few games. I especially like the interaction in the HO scenes, and I found the puzzles fascinating, both in their appearance in the game, and the difficulty I had in solving several of them. ERS is still right up there with Eipix for my favorite developers. In this game, our story begins with a new case which involves the disappearance of Madeleine, twin sister of Roderick. In MHO, this is a great game! I loved every second of it. And unfortunately, Madeleine has disappeared and the twins' condition is deteriorating. Certainly not cute, it is interesting and visually striking. Anyone who has played any of the previous Dark Tales games will have picked up on this. Some things required you to switch between day and night to complete them, and I was really confused for a minute until I figured out what to do. The Reborn One is an interesting character visually, but has nothing to say for itself. This one is the creepiest of the series, sometimes scary, often startlingly unexpected.
Anyone Edfar has played any of the previous Dark Tales games Mahjong Escape Ancient Japan have picked up on this. He took photos, so matching them to the scene, gives us valuable pointers about where to go next. Madeleine Usher Fqll nowhere to be found and because of this, Roderick is becoming ill. The Sakura Day Mahjong transporter map that indicates where you have tasks to Legendary Slide and I find it one of the most valuable tools I can have in a game. I got my money's worth. Still enjoy them, and The Fall of the House of Usher is a great game. I think the thing I loved most about this game was the gameplay.

Aahhhh Dupin, quel manifique! Again with the similar graphics, visuals, sounds and effects; it seems that time does not deter them from their methods and techniques. But all the same, I would probably buy the SE just to see how this amazing story pans out. You will also find miniature houses that when looked at with a magnifying glass will earn you a reward. Very, and I mean VERY loose adaptation of the classic story Very abrupt ending cinematics The bonus chapter didn't seem to make a whole lot of sense Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by RoyBoy from Longest game I've ever played. They don't try to change something that doesn't need to be changed. The Reborn One is an interesting character visually, but has nothing to say for itself. Also lovely, involving and intriguing. More people begin to disappear on your watch and so it is up to you and your colleague, Detective Dupin, find Madeleine and unlock the secret that plagues the House of Usher and all who are connected to it. There are a lot of things to do and to find. I feel the explanation for all this, when it comes, is unclear and somehow unsatisfying. This is the best game of the year so far, hands down. This is still a 5 star game as are all of the Dark Tales games. You and Dupin occasionally exchange quips and in this version, there is no camera to take photos instead you come across them and no lab to buy equipment.
I have missed Dupin and his adventures and at last, I find myself assisting him in what is one of my favorite Poe tales: The Fall of the House of Usher. What can I say, I love Dupin, I love Poe and I love these developers, and despite the RAT on my screen, I loved this game as a CE and for those who wish to try a simpler version without any distraction, they may find the game play a bit more challenging and interesting. Great story line and visual effects. There is also a series of photos that you discover with a partial message on the back and you need to place these photos into their natural place to reveal something not seen before. A few things have changed with this latest edition of Dark Tales, the graphics are still beautiful, but it seems a bit on the cartoonish side to me, it's not bad just different. Photographs- These are a good addition to the game. This is the best game of the year so far, hands down. Anyone thinking of buying this game wont be disappointed. Dupin, and of course, ourselves. Still enjoy them, and The Fall of the House of Usher is a great game. It wasn't used much during the demo, which made it all the more fun to use. You and Dupin occasionally exchange quips and in this version, there is no camera to take photos instead you come across them and no lab to buy equipment.
