Phantasmat: Remains of Buried Memories

Eipix Entertainment presents the next installment in the thrilling Phantasmat series! After your car crashes on a snowy road, you find yourself in a rundown hotel being chased by a terrifying shadow monster. Just as all hope seems lost… you wake up. Thankfully, the horrific chase was just a dream, and you are safe in the hotel, tended to by courteous staff. But as you begin to explore, your dream begins to become a reality. The staff’s hospitality crumbles as quickly as the walls of the hotel itself, and the shadow monster returns. What kind of deadly trap have you fallen into? Can you find your way out? Stay alert to stay alive in this chilling Hidden Object Puzzle Adventure game.

I can't even say it's a step backward because they had better graphics originally. The scenes are colorless shades of copper or blue and hazy. There is plenty of hidden object scenes in this game, which might satisfy some players. While I appreciate the effort, the result is not always successful. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games worth mentioning: 1-Guide footprints through the grid by activating switches and rotating directional arrows. That being said, the best parts of the game are the HOS and the Puzzles. As for the quality of the production, there is nothing wrong with that. This developer is the best when setting an atmosphere within each of their games. Some of the puzzles were a bit confusing as they didn't give any "info. Again, the main issue with Phantasmat: Remains of Buried Memories is the confusing theme of the game. Although we have seen many of the puzzles before it is a good thing since the instructions are terrible. Thus, while the sights and sounds are amazing when separated from the game, I am uncertain how they fit within the game. Can you survive this latest haunted house thriller from Eipix? My only complaint with the HOS is that some of the items are very small and blend into the background making them almost invisible. So what if the creature isn't what you envisioned?

Highly recommend So what if the creature isn't what you envisioned? Phantasmat: Remains of Buried Memories is well-made, but has a serious identity crisis — something that needs to be addressed before the next installment. Although we have seen many of the puzzles before it is a good thing since the instructions are terrible. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games worth mentioning: 1-Guide footprints through the grid by activating switches and rotating directional arrows. The puzzles are more innovative and many of them are unexpectedly complex and challenging. Items should be cleverly blended into the scenery and, not unrecognizable because of poor graphics! Can you survive this latest haunted house thriller from Eipix? The suspenseful music and sound effects, and voiceovers truly set the scene for a spooky good time thriller. The story line was common but again, so what?

Overall, I enjoyed it! The worse thing about this game is that there are only 3 areas of activity per detailess scene, a zoom zone on the left, one on the right and one smack dab in the center. Phantasmat isn't about reading a thousand loose pages of someone's diary conveniently laying around to explain the story! My only complaint with the HOS is that some of the items are very small and Remaisn into the background making them almost invisible. Some of the puzzles were a bit confusing as they didn't give Phanntasmat: "info. How very imaginative. This Phantasmat is unique to the previous games in the series Remins that has caught some players off guard, but give it a chance as I think that this game has great merit. So what if the creature isn't what you envisioned? There is plenty of hidden object scenes in this game, Mahjong Escape Ancient China might satisfy some players. Although we have seen many of the puzzles before it is a good thing since the The Chronicles of Jonah and the Whale are terrible. Phantasmat: Remains of Buried Memories tries to incorporate the thriller and horror elements within Biried storyline. There's no detail to even look at, everything is drab, colorless and boring, no need to pause and take in the beauty of the scenery because there's nothing Rrmains look at! You don't know how you really got there in the first place, and why everyone you meet Phantasmat: Remains of Buried Memories behaving erratically.

I don't mind mind-boggling as long as they aren't frustrating, in fact, I prefer games that require strategy or at least make you think about what you are doing rather than just solving them by memory because you have encountered that puzzle a million times before. With one new Phantasmat sequel, I miss the original Phantasmat one degree more. The suspenseful music and sound effects, and voiceovers truly set the scene for a spooky good time thriller. Any missed Morphs can be obtained by re-playing the HOP's in the extra's section which also allows you to achieve Gold, Silver or Bronze status and improve accuracy. Happy gaming! Remember when the series was actually scary and had a unique plot? For me the game is a definite pass and another that is going on my list of non-purchased games. I think some of the twists in these scenes are quite entertaining and help elevate them above the standards. Honestly, when will BFG or developers realize when enough is enough. You don't know how you really got there in the first place, and why everyone you meet is behaving erratically. Of course with a Phantasmat game I expect dark and dull graphics so the graphics in Remains of Buried Memories live up to my expectations and that is not a good thing because I hate dusty and decrepit old houses or hotels. The monsters in this game are only another iteration of the ones from Insidious Dreams, the ninth of the Phantasmat series. Although the location designs are quite creative, they are just not convincing given the mishmash story elements in the game. The graphics are horrible, dull, lifeless, unappealing. There is plenty of hidden object scenes in this game, which might satisfy some players.

Phantasmat: Remains of Buried Memories Meomries well-made, but has a serious identity crisis — something that needs to be addressed before Memofies next installment. It's about whatever the developer chooses!

I always like the graphics that this series provides. This developer is the best when setting an atmosphere within each of their games. I am never sure whether the game wants to be a serious creepy adventure or a campy horror parody. Although the location designs are quite creative, they are just not convincing given the mishmash story elements in the game. Overall, I enjoyed it! The storyline is well crafted, settings can be customized, the HO scenes were a lot of fun, and there are plenty of mini-games. The original Phantasmat won a slew of awards wbtw was by a different dev and I urge this dev to take a break and play the original game and then go back to the drawing board and create a Phantasmal Phantasmat worthy of its namesake. The story line was common but again, so what? It's hard to tell where one object ends and the next begins because there's no definition, it's clearly in an attempt to make them more challenging, but that is NOT how a Hidden Object Scene should be! The worse thing about this game is that there are only 3 areas of activity per detailess scene, a zoom zone on the left, one on the right and one smack dab in the center. The graphics are horrible, dull, lifeless, unappealing. Honestly, when will BFG or developers realize when enough is enough. Remember when the series was actually scary and had a unique plot?
