Darkness has engulfed the quiet town of Grimville! It's a straight forward good against evil story. Grimville:The Gift Of Darkness is really a wonderful suprise. I'm very easily bored by hidden object screens on any game and hate the ones that are made far too dark but this wasn't the case with most HOS. That's where the hint is useful, it will point you to someone who has a task or help for you. All of your decisions have an impact on other characters so you must really pay attention to what is going on and use your best judgment.

Thus far I have chosen the "moral" choice; therefore I am not certain what the alternate outcome may be [giving the game replay ability in that we will be able to go back and play to check out the second options?? The character actually tells you what to do and where to find things in many cases which does lessen the challenges somewhat. The only drawback some may find is that during cut scenes which may be skipped , the dialogue may go faster than some can read. Do you choose to be the Good Guy, or do you choose to be a Bad Guy? Characters are cartoon-y, but interesting, and practically encourage you to talk to them Exorcist to see what their reactions will be.

Even games I loath, Drkness try and reflect RoboRoll some of the positives because someone has put time and Dsrkness into these games and truly a one star is not justified. Graphics are very good. As someone who is beyond sick to death of hidden objects, this really says a lot! For example, you are in need of a few coins and a pick-pocket says he will share the money with you if you distract the helpless victim he intends to rob.

  1. The level of challenge on the HOS is slight but for me it's perfect because the less time I spend searching for something the more I;m likely to enjoy it. We residents do not look kindly to your visit for we understand that evil abounds where ever you travel. So, although the game's theme is that of playing a detective in solving a murder mystery surrounded in 'evil and darkness', there is definitely a lot of tongue-in-cheek humor running throughout the game reflective of the funnier side of human nature aka the 'real' world, even though the game is quite cartoony overall, which ends up being reflective of how we often may set out to attend to a given task and often end up in a scenario not quite as easy as we would like because of life's little 'interventions'. This game may not appeal to all but I would suggest that you at least try the demo.

If you save the file first, you can then locate it on your computer it's most likely to be on your desktop and double-click the game icon.

  4. I used a free game credit but after playing the game I would have definitely spent money on it as it is refreshingly different! Seen from the glowing eyes of the witch hunter, he travels to Grimville and can go no further because someone has stolen his wallet. Choose your preferred installation options.
