Shelves: picture-books , toddler-favorites My toddler is a visual learner and loves all of the I Spy books. There are no choices for game difficulty or sound level. It is in a child-like format yet can certainly be appreciated by all ages and is much more challenging than it first appears when you begin to play. I love the riddles, sounds, graphics and most of all the animation each found object makes when you've clicked on it. It kept me busy and made me use my noggin. I would recommend it for ages 3 to 6. Sometimes I had to write a two or whatever on I SPY Mystery so they could find it. Sometimes, we will look for the items listed in the text together. No annoying timers, which is real nice since there's no hints in the game. Same goes for Bonfire Stories: Heartless mysteries -- which ones were the most exciting to solve? Your list is at the bottom instead along the side. The way they hide the HO's is different than most. The words of the found objects changed to another color green, if memory serves Mysgery you're aware of what objects are left to find and which you've already found. This game is a real nice change from the 'dark' HOG games and you can take all of the time you want to find the objects. It I SPY Mystery in a child-like format yet can certainly be appreciated by all ages and is Mysteey more challenging than Summer Mahjong first appears when you begin to play. I love way the HO's interact when you click on them.


Families who are new to this series will find lots to like. That make it much more challenging. If the word buck is listed you may find a male deer instead of a dollar bill. I found the "building the machine" riddle a tad difficult because I couldn't immediately ascertain the location of one of the fixtures; I finally just started clicking all round the machine with the fixture attached to my cursor when it finally clicked into its proper spot. I'm pretty sure I missed rooms in my 1st I Spy game which I wasn't crazy about, but once I figured this feature out it was a game changer. As the kids have gotten older, they can play this game pretty independently. The gameplay is pretty basic. Then I came here and bought the rest of the series. Yes, these games are for the younger generation, but I'm young-at-heart.

You can go from scene to scene without completing them, giving you time to refresh your eyes and then come back and find the HO's you didn't find before. If I got stuck finding an object I'd move on to another chapter and come back later with fresh eyes to find what I was looking for. Llama Longplays - Episode 2: I Spy Mystery

It's either on or off so the volume must be controlled by your computer settings. Your list is at the bottom instead along the side. You have to move your mouse around to find multiple places that you can enter other HOG scenes from the sub rooms before going back to each main room. Their hazy quality reminds me of a simpler time that at this point I'm not quite sure even happened. But since the recycled puzzles are combined with new puzzles to form mysteries that have additional components, even kids who've played the previous titles will find something new to explore here.   1. Yes, these games are for the younger generation, but I'm young-at-heart. So cute. If you move the pointer to the list, each object will be announced again. I bought 2 of the 'I Spy' games last night during a fantastic sale! I purchase I Spy games the second I see one I haven't seen yet.

  2. Face could mean clock instead of human. The hints are there to assist you while in the hidden object scenes but is NOT for the riddles themselves -- which is where it can be a bit challenging.
