ERS Game Studios proudly presents a new story from their best-selling mystery series Dark Tales! It’s time once again to join your trusted partner C. Auguste Dupin on another harrowing adventure! When I began the demo, I noticed that our haggard detective is back with perhaps just a bit of a cleanup since his last foray into the Dark Tales game world. I am a huge fan of the Custom Level for lowering the hint and skip recharge times. Even his son was abducted and he suspects, the mysterious Crows league could be behind this. So what if it doesn't really follow the poem--I bet the majority of players haven't even read it. I have a few of the other games supposedly based on works by Edgar Allan Poe, and this game is an insult to that great writer! I would have missed a good game if I had! So many their games have it and its just annoying. Unless you have read those poems, it is hard to say how much of the game is actually based on its particular poem. 1. Look forward to more like this. But the game Lenore is definitely more like the Dark Tales games we have all come to know and love. This one was no exception. 4. This game is confirmation this dev. The message at the beginning of each game notes that it is based not on a story but a poem by Poe. Date published: But then, Raven failed to explain so much. Date published: Rated 2 out of 5 by Pilot1 from Poe must be rolling over in his grave!

  5. Actually, this is a very entertaining game and I always love our very handsome Dupin. I thought it was nice not seeing that baby-faced man again. Since then I played the demos and was always less than impressed.

  6. The ghostly owner has you solve riddles and thereby you learn about Lenore. I liked the idea of a lit, caged crow as a hint icon in the Menu bar. The HOP scenes and puzzles are creative and well-done.

  7. Sort of looks like the developers were just too bored to come up with good game play. I am trying to figure out why she was in a mystery series and not a fantasy title. Owning hundreds of games already, this one needs to be a giant step up to be added to my collection. The Crows league seems a sinister cult, sort of secret society, claiming to protect children.

  8. Do you have an issue with your game? Maze puzzle. I'm disheartened to see this once great series fall so far. Children are disappearing within the town. It is primarily an adventure game rather than a HOG, which is just fine by me as I prefer solving puzzles to searching through a clutter of objects that don't really relate to the game sometimes, not even the time period of the game.

  9. Is there even bonus level on here? And if you were as disappointed as I was, possibly even disillusioned with the series itself, I think Lenore will "bring you back"! Every scene was dark and dreary. So many their games have it and its just annoying.

  10. Your skills are needed in Goldstone: the mayor has written a letter, in which he asks for help in the recent disappearance of children. Don't want to spoil someone's fun and description has been covered quite well by reviewers ahead of me. D Multiple step.

  13. The graphics are muddy, the action is slow, the music is dull, the voice-over narratives are trite. Until I bought one that was horrible. Please try the demo to see if Dark Tales Lenore is a game you will enjoy. To me, this game is an improvement from recent games. This one was no exception.
