Date published: If there was an award for the shortest game ever, this one would win first prize. What the heck? Standard plot and quest, it is not inventive or creative enough for a CE, so I opted for the SE with a free coupon. So, when it was released, I tried it again, and decided to buy it, assuming it would continue to be a really good game. But gamers don't want less in a game and that includes shortness. I did NOT mind not having to listen to yet another "tale" from the Nanny - yay! After the demo, there is very little game left. Your father, the king, could be saved my his advisor Malgar, who is your fiance by now. I am sure it would have been more popular if it had been longer. I didn't feel like I had to rush from here to there to save the day. I swear a two year old could do that. I found this to be the best mini game and quite a challenge.

I never got to "save the kingdom," I'm sorry, but this was such a such a disappointment that I may never buy a game again from this developer. It is beyond me how anyone making a game can expect to make sales on such an ungenerous length. You meet a woman in front of the gates, she is attacked by forest spirits but with your ring you can save her. Story is non existent, graphics are horrible, HOs and games are on the infantile side and overall this is just a bad game. It's not slightly close to the usual level of HO's I've come to expect from them. I like to relax and just have fun. At this point, a faithful servant of the prince arrives to take you to another castle for safety It is unbelievable. Bringing it to the fortress, where he and your father reside, will have a surprising outcome. I did skip a couple tedious puzzles but only a couple and still hit that 1 hour mark if that. The puzzles were for the most part fairly easy with just a few that took some thinking. The artwork was on par with other games, the general gameplay was pleasant, a little easy, but I don't mind that. Matching rune shapes to conquer a maze and routing a path with arrows chosen from a compass of sorts through a perilous sea rounded out the puzzles. I can't recommend someone else buy this game strictly on it's length.

Date published: Rated 3 out of 5 by blkqun from Spirits of Mystery: The Lost Queen It was fun but to short, you get into then game and it's over, I would give it 2 stars because you solved nothing for maybe less then and hours playing time. No hidden jigsaw, nothing. The puzzles were for the most part fairly easy with just a few that took some thinking. I counted 7 hops and I liked them. If you are a beginner, this might be a good adventure for you. I don't care to be overwhelmed with hyperactivity of actions and inundated with brain paining puzzles that can consume a great deal of your life time.
Hope this was helpful. First off let me say that I am a fan of the Spirits of Mystery games but the last two were a bit , no, quite a bit different. If there was an award for the shortest game ever, this one would win first prize. Storyline Character: you are a princess I thought they were clear and I liked the colors. I found this to be the best mini game and quite a challenge. I am not at a loss to have acquired this version and am glad to have it. I don't care to be overwhelmed with hyperactivity of actions and inundated with brain paining puzzles that can consume a great deal of your life time. I counted 7 hops and I liked them. The hidden object scenes play it far too safe with standard formats and an overwhelming number of junk-pile scenes. Date published: Rated 2 out of 5 by hoosierhasbeen from So Very Short I love Spirits of Mystery, but was so disappointed in this game due to it's short length. Story is non existent, graphics are horrible, HOs and games are on the infantile side and overall this is just a bad game. I am looking forward to the next Spirits game to see what else can be cooked up by the developers.
I have really enjoyed other games in this series but this offering fell short, VERY short. Had I paid full price I'd be really unhappy. Some developers are just putting out games just to put them out and don't care about quality. The bonus game was actually better, with a little more cohesive story, although very short. Further, the simplistic puzzles are just Mywtery: and uninspiried.
I'm sick of buying a game and it ends after couple of hours. The reason I gave it 3 stars rather than lower is it was still pretty to look at, a fantasy game my favorite genre and I got it on the 2 for 1 sale. Every 10 years, when a green moon rises, they are free to move and leave the forest. Feel cheated to be honest, and very pleased that I didn't purchase the CE. There has not been a game I liked for quite some time. If you are running on a budget or have limited time on your hands, Spirits of Mystery: The Lost Queen is the one to skip. HOPs are variable, puzzles not too challenging and we have lanterns as collectables and wolf paws as morphs, The story is not new at all. I would recommend this game if it was longer. Date published: Rated 4 out of 5 by KingFergus from a true hidden object game I liked the mystery part of it and the story gave me so much fun and suspence in playing the game Date published: Rated 3 out of 5 by judeejuju from Just too short! You'll need to activate it by pressing symbols in order The puzzles were for the most part fairly easy with just a few that took some thinking. The artwork is nice and all, but the watercolor-painted style of the graphics makes the game looks a little cheap. Also, I don't like games that end abruptly and this one did. I liked the story and game play. The puzzles were easy enough for me to solve on my own without hints and I was having so much fun and then suddenly it was over!
