It starts out with cartoon characters but once done with the intro mostly human characters except for a cute raccoon helper who is not noisy or intrusive. Okay end of rant! I absolutely love the music in the game and hope the theme continues throughout the entire game. Other extras include wallpapers, concept art, music a secret room, bonus chapter and a strategy guide. I felt the need to hurry and save them - and I loved the way the demo ended though I suspected that twist all along. Logical is the watchword here and I sooo appreciate that! Still, the game steers away from spirits, ghosts, and horror elements and includes imaginative creatures like dragons, fairies, and other mythical characters. If you would set the levels at a low volume from the start, it would be ever so much appreciated. I am partial to this edition but recommend all Midnight Calling Series. The CE version of the game includes collectible dragons and picture fragments to find as well as morphing objects that are scattered throughout the game. Although I agree totally with another reviewer, I have to admit that his antics at times had me laughing out loud. It has all the bells and whistles that spell fun to me. Date published: Rated 4 out of 5 by Novella2 from Beware the dragon This is based on the demo.

The voices and soundtrack are spot on and the helper is as cute as the dickens. You get to collect fragments, morphing silhouettes and cute creatures. Gameplay wise, Midnight Calling: Wise Dragon is not as strong. I loved the visual style of this game. Other extras include wallpapers, concept art, music a secret room, bonus chapter and a strategy guide. The graphics although very cartoonish in the beginning are very high-quality and everything I expect from this developer. Chester from the flames he blames the dragons for the fire. So fun. Overall: Brightness adjustment which was a great bonus! I often get frustrated playing games that make figuring out what to do next or how to use an object to solve a puzzle ridiculously obtuse to figure out. This is a HOPA and a good one at that. Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by hdnseeker from A fun romp! Loved that it had morphing items in all scenes, true, the cursor changed to a hand over the morphs - but when I enter a scene, I look for the morphing item first and don't move my cursor around until it's found - problem solved. Puzzles are fun with just enough challenge to keep your interest up and the HO's add to the fun.

Midnight Calling: Wise Dragon Collector's Edition

If you are looking for a challenge, this is NOT your game. There are 3 modes of play. Even though I like variety in games and the type of games offered, I think that fantasy games are the ones I most enjoy. Elephant reinvented themselves with animation! The puzzle is very creative and well-crafted because just when I thought I had finished solving the puzzle, another level appeared. It starts out with cartoon characters but once done with the intro mostly human characters except for a cute raccoon helper who is not noisy or intrusive. I just checked out the music; its by Olecram Jos on Spotify! Date published: Rated 4 out of 5 by Yurnmesis from Well done move forward game! Fortunately, the puzzles are more complex — otherwise, this might have been one of the easiest HOPAs I have played as of late. I really enjoyed the super puzzle Rube-Goldberg type that is included towards the end of the demo and found it really fun to solve. Are the puzzle piece collectibles big enough now? Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by lilyfantn from Different Strokes for Different Folks I decided to give this game a try in spite of the 2 luke warm reviews. Looks like a fun game. The CE version of the game includes collectible dragons and picture fragments to find as well as morphing objects that are scattered throughout the game.

Gars Midnight Calling: Wise Dragon

Pleasantly surprised and grateful to find a good game! The game is challenging but not frustrating. The helper raccoon is much like Elf in Mystery Trackers. Sadly, the demo ended too soon so this is a buy for me Midnight Calling: Wise Dragon see where the fascinating story goes. This was perfect - just the right amount of difficulty to make it enjoyable. I highly recommend this game and suggest you pay attention to the ratings which is something I rarely advise. Only the worthy, Mdnight pass the Wise Dragon's test, are able to see the elusive and of course wise dragon. They always produce an enjoyable experience but, this one is my favorite so far. It starts out with cartoon characters but once done with the intro mostly human characters except for a cute Wiwe helper who is not noisy or intrusive. For me, an animal helper really adds to a game and FishCo wouldn't be surprised if there are a lot of others who share this feeling. The graphics are phenomenal and the puzzles are new-at least to me and I own and play a lot of games. Good mini puzzles. I loved Prodigy of the North: Akatori visual style of this game.

From looking at the SG, it appears to be a short game, although the demo is 90 minutes. Looks like a fun game. This had the perfect amount of everything- I like casual games to relax, but not so much that the puzzles are easy, geared to primary levels. This is a definite buy. I often get frustrated playing games that make figuring out what to do next or how to use an object to solve a puzzle ridiculously obtuse to figure out. Loved that it had morphing items in all scenes, true, the cursor changed to a hand over the morphs - but when I enter a scene, I look for the morphing item first and don't move my cursor around until it's found - problem solved. This really throws our reviews off and makes awesome games get passed over. So fun. Apart from that so far its a great game and I would definitely recommend it if you like fantasy adventure. I Sparkle Unleashed gorgeous, colorful graphics much more than those in decrepit and decaying mansions so Wise Dragon is refreshing and a game I am sure to love. The game is challenging but not frustrating. Rated 5 out of 5 by Emerald75 from One of the best Fashion Season - ever I've played a lot of Big Fish games - and this one is probably one of the very best. Pure fantasy - the story line was simple and easy to follow which made it more enjoyable - all the objects made sense - honestly, just a beautiful all-around great game that I was sad to end. If you are looking Wiss some fun without angst this IS your game.

  1. I was a little disappointed however, that the cursor changes to a hand whenever you come across one of the CE bling offerings, and even more disappointed by the raccoon helper! They have shown they have amazing imagination. When you arrive back home you find your village on fire and after you rescue Mr. I am relieved that we do not need to earn credits or coins to dress him or furnish his home! I just checked out the music; its by Olecram Jos on Spotify!

  2. Thus begins this refreshing and wonderful fantasy game into a world of dragons and magic. I'm giving this a 5 star rating, as I was surprised by how much fun I was having playing it!! I know i play these games to unwind relax and to look at beautiful scenery so they NEED to be challenging enough to keep my attention but not complex to the point where they cease to meet my needs as not a "serious gamer" but a Fisherman.

  3. Although I agree totally with another reviewer, I have to admit that his antics at times had me laughing out loud. A game where you find the elements you need before you forget where they belong. The graphics are amazing, the music and voice overs are great, and the puzzles and HO scenes are fun and interesting. Pleasantly surprised and grateful to find a good game! The characters can seem a little cartoonish, but they fit well with the overall art direction of the game so that they do not feel out of place.

  4. More and more excellent games on BF are getting negative reviews saying a perfectly wonderful game is to short, easy, cartooney ect ect and I am starting to think those comments are coming from the "serious gamers" basically soul caliber, and fallout style game fans who are great peeps but are a entirely different type of gamer than the Big Fisherman who frequent this site that love their HOPAs. This is a HOPA and a good one at that. You get to collect fragments, morphing silhouettes and cute creatures.

  5. Apart from that so far its a great game and I would definitely recommend it if you like fantasy adventure. Only flaw was the drawn picture ending that was sort of disappointing, but I would play this game again. Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by firewitch13 from Lovely fantasy I just finished playing the demo version and thoroughly enjoyed it. The graphics although very cartoonish in the beginning are very high-quality and everything I expect from this developer.

  6. Are the puzzle piece collectibles big enough now? I realize it would be more work for the developers but the games are so cookie cutter in general, I am sure they could figure it out. Get ready for a big collective groan because there is a helper in the game — a silly and incredibly funny raccoon.

  7. Enjoyed the story line and scenes, well done! I thoroughly enjoyed myself and felt it was well worth the money. I enjoy gorgeous, colorful graphics much more than those in decrepit and decaying mansions so Wise Dragon is refreshing and a game I am sure to love. One HOP in particular, I actually found to be entertaining, and rarely offered, which required you to find the exact areas shown inside square tiles.

  8. Just as your training is coming to an end you receive a message from your father, a very well-known zoo magician, telling you that he is on the verge of a great discovery and that you should come home at once since he fears his life might be in danger. Still, the game steers away from spirits, ghosts, and horror elements and includes imaginative creatures like dragons, fairies, and other mythical characters. One HOP in particular, I actually found to be entertaining, and rarely offered, which required you to find the exact areas shown inside square tiles.
