Although we are revisiting Sullivan River, Soul Catcher is more of a fantasy type game with lots of color rather than the decaying camp setting of the original game. I love a game that has a great story line and this game didn't disappoint. There are far more puzzles than there are HOPS and although some of them are easy many seemed more difficult. I thought you had to turn the whole piece but there were actually 2 or 3 pieces you had to turn and place until the whole thing came together. Aaron must return to Sullivan's River and enter the Maze to the underworld to help his brother, but someone doesn't want him there and the spirits are restless. For those of you who want to know there are collectibles and morphing objects. With a little back and forth it is playable. It is not a big thing in the scheme of the game but it points out a lack of attention to detail. It was easier in Soul Catcher to figure out where to go and what to do because of the interactive map but I found the puzzles a bit more difficult. As you are preparing the memorial to your brother and the others who are missing you are suddenly whisked away to another reality and this is where the search for Darren really heats up. In addition, the soundtracks are also very enchanting, and work well with the paranormal fantasy theme of the game. Minor dislikes: - Length: it could have been a little bit longer, I needed well below 4 hours. This rune is supposed to help you ward off evil spirits, but every time you would need to solve a 3D puzzle first. I didn't like the story, it's been done before.

So, we are searching for our brother, who by this time must be an adult, unless Sable Maze: Soul Catcher is some mysterious time warp in the maze. The voiceovers are good but lip sync is a bit odd and sometimes is shown in close-up circles while there is no lip movement in the larger screen and at other times there is lip-sync without the close-up, which makes it seem rather hit or miss. The mini-game is not one of my favorites and I am sure those evil spirits would have devoured me before I ever managed to charge the rune if this was real life and not a game. Sometimes it Woodville Chronicles not totally synchronized. Color, animations, voice-overs.
