Some reading involved but a lot of characters talked so no reading. Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by Cookie from Finally a game with lots of puzzles I have not found too many games that I really like, but this one did it for me. It is indeed a refreshing change to play a HOPA that features a realistic and old-school theme instead of an elaborate fantasy theme filled with demons, spells, and fairies. Hidden objects were varied and very challenging in most instances. The talent this team wields is pretty awesome. I'm really enjoying it. No way to figure out why. I usually skip right through lots of scenes, but loved watching the cutscenes, I also thought the game was plenty long, and even the bonus chapter was pretty good. Unlike the other review, I had no problem finding items in them. I don't like it when games are full of them. The SE version might be something to consider because I didn't think the extras offered in the CE version were worth the money. More the for adventure gamer in you than the pure "let me just find stuff" people. It felt different and not repetitive like so many other games on here lately.

Honestly, this is one of the better games I've played in awhile. To be a successful hidden object game, the developers and artists must build a story that is compelling, locations that are interesting and memorable, allow us to make mistakes yet recover without trauma or injury. Big Fish and other reviewers will give you an idea of the story line, but let me just say, it is easy to follow and kept my interest all the way through. I loved the story line and all of the great characters. It involves psychosis and disturbing murder methods. I can't praise this game enough Date published: Rated 4 out of 5 by BridgettD from A more mature and challenging game This is my first review. The downside is that "Memoirs of Murder" CE earned an overall 3 star rating from reviewers, which I think is accurate. I highly recommend it. I particularly like that I can switch characters, and that - a little into the game - I can buy stuff that will help me advance in the story. This was a very pleasant welcome back to Bigfish gaming! Buy this when it is released which I hope is very soon. The SE version might be something to consider because I didn't think the extras offered in the CE version were worth the money.

I like this developer, and I'm looking forward to seeing how the story ends. Still would love to see Santas Christmas Solitaire completely fresh and new but this felt like a great start! They are usually kept to places at a time. Challenging enough. I haven't finished the game yet, but, I find the story enjoyable, and the characters likable. It was a let down for many puzzles Northern Tale 3 I could not either figure out what I was supposed to do, or like the hunter game, I would get to where I was supposed to be but I lost. I would recommend this game if you want more challenging puzzles, an expert mode option and and a mature story line. I love puzzles and they had plenty of them.

  1. It has a lot of differences from most games, especially NO ghosts, goblins, or things that go bump in the night. I dont understand the complaints with the character switching either. Why don't they offer an alternative for mini games. Another great game that is full of things to do, great graphics, an interesting plot without being dark.

  2. I was hooked from the beginning, and thought that each scene was so unique and different from allother games. I chose the CE version and I completed the main game in just under four hours and the bonus chapter in 55 minutes. Thoroughly enjoyed this one!
