Voodoo Whisperer: Curse of a Legend

Mentored by one of the most powerful voodoo priestesses in the world, Lillian is learning to use her power. But, a dark force has settled over New Orleans, and Marie Leveau, Lillians teacher, has been placed under a curse. The entire town has been put into a deep, dark sleep by a mysterious evil force. Now young Lillian must find allies and uncover the dark secrets of voodoo in order to save her master and free her friends before it is too late.

After the cut-scene use the door at the back to return to the entryway. Use the Visibility Mixture on the slip of paper on the bar. I thought the concept was original but don't see much replay value unless you want to tackle any puzzles you may have skipped the first time around. Return to the Cellar. Wandering around the family mansion got a bit boring. Open the wardrobe and pick up the red feather. One of the best I have played in a long time. Take the Pearl Earrings and the White Feather. Use the chimney handle on the small door in the right hand wall. Search the wastebasket in the left corner and pick up the Invitation Pieces. Use the Rock to break the glass, go inside. Inspect the piece of paper under the left bed. Go out the back door again. Often you had to go back to scenes you were "sure" were finished, so the back and forth was annoying. Complete the mini-game.

Put the thinking cap on, but no need to stock up on valium. Go into the Stable next to the Hotel. Return to the front of the house. It's worth giving this one a try. Use the Brick Dust on your grandmother then use the Death Talk spell. Chapter 4 Check the missing curb on the right side of the pedestrian. Collect the sticks from the church banister and go down the path to the Mausoleum. Had to resort to a walkthrough on another website several times which should not be necesary. Go in. Mix a Visibility Mixture with your Mortar and Pestle. The HO scenes are particularly good - relevant objects, crisp and clean, no distortions, The puzzles are innovative twist on common ones. I chose "regular'. Use Crash on the swaying chandelier.

Finish the puzzle to open the door. Search the wastebasket in the left corner and pick up the Invitation Pieces. Ending was a total surprise! Use the Powder Brush to clear the dust away from the picture on the wall to the right. Open the white box on the floor near the far wall and take the Black Ink. Go back outside the Hotel. Check and take the Papa Legba symbol in the bottom left corner. Check the invitation and rearrange the pieces. Go back to the Saloon Common. Pick up the Rock at the bottom right. I wished it had gone on longer than it did! Go right. Take the Brick Dust and go back to the Dining Room. Open the wardrobe and pick up the red feather.

Play the record on the gramophone. Return to the Saloon Common room. Pick up the Ceiling Hook. Inspect the picture. Use the Rock to break the glass, go inside. Go in the window. The clues were Lebend helpful and would only direct you to a page, but often that wasn't enough because the thing you would be looking for was so hidden, like the Whispsrer: in the flower box on the house. Unlock the gate and go through it. It means we have to purchase the next game to finish this one. Open the door and peak inside. Use your Leegnd can and matches to turn the lantern Pearlz then move into the sunroom. Go to the room at the top of the stairs. I wished it had gone on longer than it did!

Return to the back room of the mansion. Over all I would rate it a 3. Use the Key to open the door to Room 7. Go to the Billiard Room. Go into the Mausoleum. Good puzzles, and skipable. Check the small table between the two chairs on the right. Search the desk and read the journal. You had to put your cursor right on it or you'd miss it, which I did several times, and the hints never pointed to it. Search the dresser on the right, use your knife to cut some straw out of the mattress then search the dresser next to the door. Check the cupboard on the right. Check the apron on the bench.

Open the drawer on the desk to the left. Finding items in different scenes made the game interesting and the different scenes made sense. Go back to the Bank Lobby. Leave the Saloon and go to the Hotel. As the description says, "This game is intended Youda Farmer mature audiences. Look in the cupboard. Go through the door. Search the table behind the clerk. So tired of these short ones I can do in less than an hour! Go back through the door at the top of the stairs and use the brick dust on the dancer then check her again. Pick up the pot of glue next to the bale of straw. Collect the sticks from the church banister Nikakudori go down the path to the Mausoleum. Check the cupboard on the right. It was over and I got a "to be continued".

  1. Look in the cupboard. Use your stove shovel to collect some mud. Check the invitation and rearrange the pieces. Use your saloon key on the lower door. Use your cake knife to scrape the moss away.

  2. Go back to the swing-set tree. Pick up the wet soap on the right corner of the sink. Go back outside.

  3. The clues were not helpful and would only direct you to a page, but often that wasn't enough because the thing you would be looking for was so hidden, like the herb in the flower box on the house. Use your shears on the bushes to the right of the stairs, take the saw. Definitely worth a try and a buy! I HATE that whether it's a television show or a game! Go back to the area just outside the Mausoleum.

  4. Search the desk behind the Clerk. Go back to the area just outside the Mausoleum. Use the Move spell to take the lid off of the well then fill the bucket with water. Inspect the picture.

  5. Go to the Bathroom. Use your mortar to make the Obatala doll. Use your Tin Cup to collect water from the fountain.

  6. Search the pantry then unlock the door with the Spare Key. Look at the rack of billiard balls on the left table. Waiting for the next installment.

  7. Wandering around the family mansion got a bit boring. All those things together make a good game in my eyes Pick up the Ceiling Hook. Use your Chalk to make a circle on the floor. Return to the Terrace.

  8. Go back outside then enter the bank. After the cut-scene use the door at the back to return to the entryway. The level of difficulty in all three aspects - HO, puzzle, quest - are all roughly the same and just about right for a goodish player. I also appreciated the fact that the designers incorporated the "area has been cleared" message to let you know that nothing else needed to be done at a particular location, saving you the shoe leather of having to go back there to see if you've forgotten anything.

  9. Lots of tasks to do, and some back and forth. Go back to the main entry then go through the door on the left into the dining room. Use your Punyal Knife to cut the shoelace off of the brown shoes in the dresser on the right. Go to the Stables.
