After responding to a distress call from a secluded psychiatric hospital, a young detective and her partner find themselves struggling to solve a murder. As they press the patients and hospital staff they find that there are dark truths being kept from them. Each new clue only raises more questions. Who killed Doctor Crow? What drove one of the male nurses insane? Who is Zed Rascov? Why is the name of a little girl, Ginger, carved into the wood-paneled wall of the dead doctor's office? Can you unravel the mystery? Find out in 9 Clues: The Ward!
Also, don't skip any dialog during the clues as they do help you through the game. There is a diary, which keeps track of main character you meet, and any events that occur to do with that character. Puzzles are not my strong suit in this type of game, but I only skipped three of them. Happy gaming everyone! By bringing in original and lifelike characters, and creating weird, one of a kind settings that keep you guessing and detecting all the way through to the end. It made me feel like a real detective on a real case loved it.. I loved every second of it. Next time I'll play in the hardest mode. But, after playing 3 AM games now, I believe that the puzzles aren't even the main attraction - the stories are. The plot was great and the HOPs were good too! My only criticism is that I don't think it was used enough. Loved this game. Lots of twists and turns, very suspenseful. Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by hermitcave from A well done detective story that kept me wanting more I enjoyed this game as it had a new element for me that I had not seen before - find the nine clues in each part, determine their order of occurrence and then watch the "what happened" video. Great fun all around, is this one!

It made me feel like a real detective on a real case loved it. Also, don't skip any dialog during the clues as they do help you through the game. It was a nice touch. The story was really interesting, actually one of the better ones I've come across and I've played a LOT of these types of games! Next time I'll play in the Nemos Secret: Vulcania mode. Recent releases such as Elizabeth Bathory and True Fear talk about compelling, edge of your seat entertainment! This is quite simple. Rated 5 out of 5 by Taintedfury from 9 Clues: The Ward I thoroughly enjoyed this game: great visuals and music, storyline was Bubble Zoo 2 done. What a indie find! Voice-overs are standard. The HOS would be an example of the run-of-the-mill aspect of the game. Everything built-up to an extraordinary ending, one that I most certainly did not see coming. Thank you BFG. I especially liked Detective Mode, which is sort of a flip on the regular hidden object mode--you are actually compiling the object list. Don't think for a Rainforest Solitaire that, just because the 9 Clues: The Ward was not a CE first, the game is therefore of a lesser quality.
But because everything else was so great, I couldn't possibly give this game 4 stars, and so will round it up to a 5. Overall, a brilliant story- one of my favourites of all time. The plot was great and the HOPs were good too! Although the games offered today are beautiful artistically, and the puzzles and games are super fun, I quite frankly feel guilty playing when they are so over-the-edge dark and sinister. The character voices were varied and well done with different accents and realistic emotions instead of like they were just reading a script. You then see a short cutscene showing what happened revealing part of the story. Everything built-up to an extraordinary ending, one that I most certainly did not see coming. The game took me about 3 hours on Casual mode, which is my ideal game length. The opening cutscene was great, but after that, I will admit the story did take a bit of getting in to. A lot of guesswork on my part, but maybe I'm just not patient enough to pick up clues to the strategy? I highly recommend these two games to all who love HOGS. I skipped the majority of them, and the ones I could solve took me multiple goes to finish.
The concept was great and was executed brilliantly. Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by Sookiewoo from Fantastic - Gems Quest it. There is a jump map that is quite helpful as you visit a lot of places frequently in this game. I have not been so engrossed in a game in such a long time. They were drawn with Magic Aces nice detail and colours, and the character designs were good. But, after playing 3 AM games now, I believe that the puzzles aren't even the main attraction - the stories are. Before now, I'd never even touch a standalone SE, but this game changed all that.
Medium difficulty to play and no problem with windows I liked how there was lip-synch too. Even though the plot was about arson and murder, I did not find it really dark or creepy. I'm still playing the game so I can't say how long it will take the shortest game I've played from AM was about 5 hours though. Fun puzzles. Although the games offered today are beautiful artistically, and the puzzles and games are super fun, I quite frankly feel guilty playing when they are so over-the-edge dark and sinister. The reason? But I'm still hooked, and that's what matters, right? That's what AM does so incredibly well, and this is yet another success for them. However, I noticed some very stupid spelling mistakes, which probably comes from the fact this is a Polish developer. The square will light up when the evidence is in the right place. I also really, really enjoyed the characters!
Very fun game especially for the price! This was a very good game in every way for me! I liked how there was lip-synch too. In terms of gameplay, parts of it are fairly run-of-the-mill, but others are fairly good. So, so glad I did! It made me feel like a real detective on a real case loved it.. As more of the story was revealed, the game got better building up to a surprising and interesting ending that I did not see coming. As I played, more and more of the story was revealed, and the game just got better and better. It was used 4 times throughout the entire game. It made for a nice change of pace. I enjoyed every time I used it, but it wasn't used enough. I loved it! The reason? There are three modes of difficulty as well as a nice map.
