Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by Hookedonbigfish from Phantastic, great solid game The long abandoned ruins of the Paris Opera House is the abode of the jilted ghost who is still trying to plot the return of his lost love but it is the daughter of whom he has set his sights on as she is the perfect look alike of his long lost love. It included the original novel too, which if you haven't read is a fantastic read in my opinion. The silhouettes on the hint button helped when running your cursor over the word Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by eschmeck from Enjoyable 'What If' for after the novel Based solely on the Leroux novel, the game is a 'what if' scenario after Christine leaves with Raoul. Wow, did I love it! The bonus chapter was fun, going down to his lair, though it seemed a trifle short. Absolutely worth every penny! Most other games can't compare. Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by LateRose11 from One of greatest games, but lacks an actallual ending Overall the story line is great, the puzzles and hidden objects were excellent, the music and soud effects are awesome, but there is no ending. The snow scenes and the night views are still very clear and precise. I thought it was interesting, but it came as a surprise. I beg of thee!!!

And what about Chirstine and Roaul? Quite a bit of moving from room to room but it was well worth it as the scenes were so well drawn, I assume the musical score that was in the film couldn't be used due to copyright but the music and sounds were very good none the less. Now, to the story line. It's an excellent mostly adventure game with some hidden object scenes, playing different rooms and some outside of an opera house. The puzzles were slightly challenging, but you could easily find ways to solve them if you looked hard enough. After having played the full game, including the bonus chapter, I thought it did fit all aspects of the PotO story and who these characters were A jump map would have been nice, there was a lot of walking back and forth - but at the same time it gave it more of a true feel of being lost in a huge, abandoned building- like Christine's abducted daughter who we are supposed to be - so I felt that much more immersed in the story and part of it without the ability to jump to locations. Cons: -The ending of the game. Story: I loved it - AND the ending of both the main game and bonus chapter. Make sure you check your diary occasionally for help in some of the puzzles. Will Evelyn love the phantom willingly or will he force her too? One of my favorite games! This game is great!

Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by Lioness from I'm a big phan of this HOG I've read the book and seen two different movie versions of this storyline and so I bought this game and this HOG does not disappoint at all. I was was a little disappointed by the end though I hope there will be a sequel to this, so we wouldn't just be left with endings that aren't actually endings The dialogue is adequate enough to allow information regarding the progress of the game and the phantom's haunting voice is heard at various times during the game. The puzzles were ingenious, intriguing and tricky but were good fun solving them and they were not too difficult. It didn't take me too long to play but I didn't feel like I was playing pointlessly or ever got lost. The storyline, the graphics, and the uniqueness of this game drew me in. Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by sapoe from my memorable game! The visuals and the music is astounding, being both beautiful and shiver-inducing, with the Phantom's voice cutting in between scenes. The puzzles are good, some were pretty easy to figure out others I spent several minutes just trying to do it without using a single hint. Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by operaphantom from beautiful romantic mystery the characters are compelling, the storyline hauntingly beautiful and the lavish scenes detailed and exquisite. I bought it years ago and have come back to play it at least a dozen times. This is the first time I've been moved to write a review Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by HyperGamer from Stupendo, Magnifique What a great game full of fun things to find and puzzles to solve, even going up and down in the lift was a laugh

  1. I had thought this game would be like the musical, so I was slightly disappointed. Thank you so much dev and yes, you did really a good job making this one! Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by EllieAmaruq from Wonderful!

  2. This truthfully is a spectacular game, and I recommend it to anyone who likes HO games. It was repetitive and I finally turned it off.

  3. Please tell me there is a Sequal?? I truly hope they release a sequel for the game so that players may receive the chance to find out what happens to both our beloved phantom and Evelina. Just do what I do when I run into stories that disappoint - rewrite the ending in your head and go with that. Such a beautiful game, I hope there will be a sequel!

  4. Yes, it ended on a dark, shocking cliffhanger, both times - but it FIT for who the Phantom is and was. It can be a little confusing having to go back and forth all the time to find items. Such a beautiful game, I hope there will be a sequel!

  6. There is just a chiffhanger, nothing to tell you what happens between the phantom and evelyn. I was so intrigued to see where the Phantom would take me next. After all that

  7. As my first hidden object game, I would definitely recommend it! Thank you so much dev and yes, you did really a good job making this one! If I had a complaint, it would only be that the sequel isn't completed yet.

  8. I bought it years ago and have come back to play it at least a dozen times. I had thought this game would be like the musical, so I was slightly disappointed. The ending is a friggen cliffhanger, ugh I need to know what happened to Evelina and the Phantom?!

  9. This mis a great game, full of mystery and of course the Phantom. Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by UrbanLily from My favorite game! So now I think he wants her to do the same so she shows her affection. Everytime Erik spoke, I got chills and was like "Talk again! The guide was a great help if you needed some assistance.

  12. I thought it was interesting, but it came as a surprise. For those who ask about the black roses however, this is my opinion. This was a game I really enjoyed playing - and couldn't stop. From beginning to the end, it's just superb.

  13. This game is perfect in every aspect. The map is a great help in traversing the many rooms and locations but as the game wears on you get familiarised with where you need to go without referring to the map a great deal. Maybe if there was a sequel, Raoul could meet an untimely end, pre-game in backstory- and Christine be a widow for game 2, at the end offering to trade places to save her daughter.
