The fantastical continuation of the popular, long-running Spirits of Mystery series from ERS Games! Isa's back to his old tricks, and now he's doing the bidding of an even greater foe. You play as a princess whose best friend, a princess in a neighboring kingdom, is forced into an arranged marriage with sinister intent. Team up together to thwart an evil plot! The only complain I have is that the scenes are repeated which I think is very boring. In this story you are made to not trust a certain character and then toward the end your character is somehow open to trusting this character again. Smooth play except a couple minor glitches and a sticky 'torn map' puzzle pieces hard to rotate. This is the kind of game I would come back to just for some relaxing fun and leaves me receptive for another from the series and or developers. Learn the anatomy of a dragon by replacing his bones! When Princess Adele became deathly ill, her father pleaded with Isa to do whatever it takes to make her well. I would go back and replay it if I could. I have to admit that as seasoned as I am in finding my way around in HOPA games, Chains of Promise was a bit of a challenge because it was not always apparent what I needed to do next to move forward. The HOPS are vintage and do require some interaction. One of my favorite games was jumping Unicorns over each other on several different shelves until only one remains, and, you can jump up a shelf, down a shelf, to the right or left and even diagonally.

The sound track if very good and I happen to love the signature theme music from the Bunny Team that is present in all of their games. It is similar in style as the rest of the Spirits of mystery, and the graphics are colorful and a nice quality don't Mystery P.I.: The Vegas Heist the graphics on the icon fool you, they are not the watercolor style but much more crisp and likeable. You must interact with the items before you can eliminate them from the list. EASY G. If you like fairy tale games, you will love this game. A little unique G. It would kind of take me aback each time someone spoke, FBI: Paranormal Case was a bit off-putting and distracting, but not enough that it ruins the game for me. Maybe a little on the easy side for those who prefer more challenge. It was compelling and fun. The only complain I have is that Dolphin Dice Slots scenes are repeated which I think is very Promiee. I don't know if the CE offers much more to commend it, but for me this was a satisfying buy as an SE, definitely one I'd hop on with a credit or discount. I have found most of their games to be very enjoyable and wrapped in a package that presents everything I look for in a game. They include matching, a fairy tale book relaying the story containing sentences with items in BOLD letters, lists of items to locate, cryptic clues, and replacement of items back into the scenes.

Before you leave on your journey, Nanny gives you her mother's special mirror which will expose the secrets hidden behind the gargoyle symbols throughout the kingdom. Although the game was an instant buy for me, as always, I recommend that you try the demo to see if it is a game you will enjoy. Enjoyed the mini-games, and HOPs, which although they are the standard fare, were creatively varied enough throughout so as not to be disappointingly repetitive, nor were they too hard or too easy. Very, very professional and made with love Smatterings of LoTR elements elvish stuff and as someone else mentioned, the gargoyle prominent in the titles and bumpers is not a big feature in the game, only appearing once, as I recall. It delivered a few hours of pleasant gaming. This game has a variety of HOP scenes and puzzles to make it enjoyable to play — even for adults! However, the voiceovers were great; the music was good; the artwork was rather cartoonish but very good, and the mini-games were wonderful.

  2. Not too hard, not too short or super long either. Learn the anatomy of a dragon by replacing his bones! Most of the puzzles are easy but in the demo I encountered two which were moderately difficult. I have to admit that as seasoned as I am in finding my way around in HOPA games, Chains of Promise was a bit of a challenge because it was not always apparent what I needed to do next to move forward. I'm giving this game a 4-star and I recommend the SE version for sure.

  3. This was an insta-buy for me. If you select the custom mode you can set your hints to recharge virtually as quickly as you like with a range from 5 to seconds and the same range applies to skipping puzzles. Most of the puzzles are easy but in the demo I encountered two which were moderately difficult. But once I persevered, the game flowed seemingly well.

  4. Although this is a game that I like to call CE light, I guess it really boils down to a matter of personal opinion as to whether you want to purchase the CE or wait for the SE release. The Mini Games are decent, but nothing really new, moving gems into slots using each gems available directional arrows to guide the gems using other gems as bumpers, selecting symbols in the correct order, and my favorite game was jumping Unicorns until only one remains, you can jump up, down, sideways and even diagonally.   5. The HOP scenes are more creative in the actual game and they are puzzle-like and very well done. The graphics were decent. If I had actually paid for it I may have given it a 3 star rating.

To charge this magical mirror you must find all 6 hidden gargoyle symbols floating in the air, and then use the mirror on the gargoyle symbol to reveal secret codes and hidden compartments. In the background you can hear a cat or peacock screeching and the howling of a wolf. Although this is a game that I like to call CE light, I guess it really boils down to a matter of personal opinion as to whether you want to purchase the CE or wait for the SE release.   8. The graphics are beautiful as usual for this dev. Maybe a little on the easy side for those who prefer more challenge. From the beginning to the end a party for the eyes and a wonderful pleasure for the spirits. Took me a few tries to get it but it was a fun challenge learning the trick to winning. Impatient creature that I am, I always find it hard to wait particularly when there is a game from one of my favorite developers.
