Shiver: Poltergeist

After inheriting a manor in England, you begin to explore the Kangale Estate and discover its history in Shiver: Poltergeist! Ricardo Chellini's life is incredibly dull and full of repetitive tasks that leave him unfulfilled. One day, however, he receives a letter informing him that he's the sole heir to an incredible manor in England. Travel with Ricardo to his new estate and discover its terrifying history in Shiver: Poltergeist, an incredible Hidden Object Puzzle Adventure game!

Lots of rooms! I last played this game a year ago, and had forgotten all the best bits. The hidden object levels are not extremely challenging with a little bit of interaction and a fast recharging hint button. In any case, once I got going it became very interesting and enjoyable. Glad I bought it! Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by neilskinut from long fun game This is a really fun game to play. Despite these two issues, the latest in Artogon's Shiver series remains a good investment. Worth the purchase!! It was technically superior to every other game I've played. The scenes were drawn really nicely with great detail but I really enjoyed the interaction, such as flashlight, using objects in items list together or a lot more interactivity with puzzles than other adventure games I've played. The hint button will tell you where you need to go next if you get stuck. Here's a couple negatives: In part one we are introduced to the two main characters. I think he could have played a pivotal, interactive role, highlighting the antagonism but it just didn't happen. Leaving the sound on is a must for this one. Date published:

I think the music contributed to the game in a way I've never experienced. Obviously it was tons of fun. Exploring the scenes is very enjoable and ineresting. In fact, even with the negatives, this is my new favorite game! I only bought the SE so I didn't get to see that extra level which is disappointing but I enjoyed the game. It will help you a lot!! I promise, you will not be disappointed when you play this. It was a dark and moody adventure and the lighting was slightly muted to give that feel. However, if you read the letters carefully and know where you are when you read them, you get to make a good guess at who it was; it is suggested to you, but you could miss it if you miss one particular letter or skimp over its contents. Now that his monotonous life has chenged, he has to go and explore the manor. Personally, I was happy to scratch my head over where to get a shovel rather than pushing buttons aimlessly trying to make them all stay down. The graphics, dialog, Scenery were great!!

There is a journal to accompany you in this game. There were plenty of HOGs and they were well executed, and meaningful in terms of what was added to the inventory. It was moving. The hint tells you where to go and what to do next. The hidden object levels are not extremely challenging with a little bit of interaction and a fast recharging hint button. Problem is, it comes with a ghost, a rather nasty one with pyromania. There are lots of places to go, much to explore, many rooms to find and still no butler showing up to help you. I think the music contributed to the game in a way I've never experienced. Personally, I was happy to scratch my head over where to get a shovel rather than pushing buttons aimlessly trying to make them all stay down. This game DOES have color though in addition to the gray being there, and also nice detail with it being set in a manor house. Highly Recommend!! After the first part of the game we never see the antagonist again. The pictures are useful for knowing where you need to go back to. Very atmospheric and good voiceover! Exploring the scenes is very enjoable and ineresting.

The visuals could have been better. The introduction Poltergeistt the Shiver: Poltergeist is very well done. Those last 30 seconds just frustrate. Hope this review helps!! I had tried this game as the CE version and didn't know if I really liked it. There were plenty of HOGs and they were well executed, and meaningful in terms of what was added to the inventory. There were several puzzles but I didn't find them enormously challenging. I loved Polterggeist game. Very atmospheric and good voiceover! Lots of rooms! Top quality graphics, and a very involving Mad Mouse. Date published: Rated 5 Shiver: Poltergeist of 5 by amberpaige from Awesome Game, Lots of fun! Game seemed nice and Poltetgeist, the scenes tied into each other and made sense, and the game really kept my interest. You play as Ricardo Chellini who has just inherited a manor in England.

The game follows the footsteps of the Shiver series. And so I am left with just one thought — Did the butler do it? The other negative is the abrupt, inconclusive ending. This is an excellent game! You are going to an old, run-down mansion that you have inherited. Game seemed nice and long, the scenes tied into each other and made sense, and the game really kept my interest. It was moving. Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by amberpaige from Awesome Game, Lots of fun! You feel like a part of a movie, then you learn more about the story through excellent graphics and really nice voice over. Lots of rooms! This really is a spectacular HO Adventure. It was a dark and moody adventure and the lighting was slightly muted to give that feel. In fact, even with the negatives, this is my new favorite game! Shjver: achieved something, learned something, added something to the inventory and had to go back to use it. It never got in the way and was never boring. The pictures are useful for knowing where you need to Hermes: Rescue Mission back to. I thought the commentary was rather humorous at times. The puzzles are not very hard and I wish they had been. Top quality graphics, and a very involving story. Fast reload time. It was wonderful! Shiver: Poltergeist Collector's Edition is a recently released hidden object puzzle adventure game with a not Shiver: Poltergeist unique story but still with very high production values. You are going to an old, run-down Shiver: Poltergeist that you have inherited. Just like Vanishing Hitchhiker, I love how I have many rooms to Shlver: around and explore at the beginning! Does not have voice over and you do need to go all over the place to find clues but the flow is good.

  1. One is the unseen protagonist and the other is an antagonist I Think. I only bought the SE so I didn't get to see that extra level which is disappointing but I enjoyed the game. It is just the right amount of fun and and enough of a challenge to keep you going and thinking, "Hey this game is fun"!!

  2. I'm sorry I can't be more specific about what I mean. The colors and art is amazing, I totally fall in love with its colors and a big environment. My family thought I'd abandoned them. There were several puzzles but I didn't find them enormously challenging.

They were all fun and unlike some other games, the puzzles weren't thrown in just to make the game longer. Game seemed nice and long, the scenes tied into each other and made sense, and the game really kept my interest. Wish I had bought the collector's now.

  4. And so I am left with just one thought — Did the butler do it? I last played this game a year ago, and had forgotten all the best bits. And the end is a major cliffhanger!

  5. It is also a mature, professional and well crafted game. The puzzles are not very hard and I wish they had been. Despite these two issues, the latest in Artogon's Shiver series remains a good investment. One is the unseen protagonist and the other is an antagonist I Think.

  6. It will help you a lot!! Wish I had bought the collector's now. I loved playing this game, but I must point out one gripe.
