This is a convoluted storyline and this game really benefitted from having it. Stick it out and play. The art style blended well with all the objects and I found that the level of challenge was well balanced. Thank you Hauunted It's not as bad as some others are saying, totally get where they're coming from and I do agree, it could possibly have come with some sort of warning. I would have bought the CE if it had had a screensaver.

It took me a while to figure out what was going on, but once I figured it out, I was impressed. Thank you Eipix! I would prefer if they had kept the time change but not go SO overboard with the "weird". The puzzles were not ridiculously difficult where you have to pull out a scientific calculator to solve, and they were not monotonous. Some of the puzzles were just intuitive, and easy to grasp, while others took more time because I couldn't figure out the mechanics and the reasoning behind it. Controls are very logical.

Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by ushie15 from Spectacular for Halloween! A great ghost story would have been far better than a game where a young adult relives her childhood memories. Haunted Manor: Remembrance is definitely a game you should try because you might enjoy the game. Nonetheless, it is hard to deny the wildly imaginative storyline in Haunted Manor: Remembrance. I just prefer the environmental sounds for long stretches of game play. I thought that the concept of the haunted house stemming from loneliness was a nice touch. This is a somewhat short adventure that takes place over 5 Locations, most of which are repeated scenes from the main chapters. I thought that the concept of the haunted house stemming from loneliness was a nice touch. I just prefer the environmental sounds for long stretches of game play. What I played of the game portrayed a tale of descent into madness and having a family member who struggles with mental illness, the subject matter was simply too much for me to handle. A truly adult game. That said, the theme of this game wasn't entirely realistic but it was very creatively produced and the final result was excellent IMO Now, upcoming I hope we will be offered some nice murder mysteries versus all the dark, supernatural weirdness that is spewed out by developers in recent years. The puzzles were not ridiculously difficult where you have to pull out a scientific calculator to solve, and they were not monotonous. I was vested and couldn't wait to find out what happens to the characters. Mysteries of the mind: Coma an older game though, with no portal maps 2. Totally amazing! Gameplay-wise, Haunted Manor: Remembrance is not much of a departure from the norm. It was definitely creepy, but not in the usual sense of creepiness with skeletons, witches, bats, and so on Rather, this was a psychological creepiness that I found quite intriguing I hope to see more games like this one from EIPIX! Regardless, Haunted Manor: Remembrance is definitely entertaining and its four-hour runtime is used to its full potential. Great psychological thriller.

  3. And no, it is not about mental illness - none of the characters are mentally ill, but it is a journey of discovery that leads you to a conclusion quite likely much different than what you thought at the beginning of the game. A good length too, which is a big plus, the mini games are not too hard, another big plus, I hate pulling my hair out mini games,, and pretty visuals.. Thirty step mini-game. 8. BFG has so many great Halloween themed games and I think I will go back and play one of those rather than try to struggle through a game that I find distasteful. Locks on doors, sometimes just needed a key. A great ghost story would have been far better than a game where a young adult relives her childhood memories. I just prefer the environmental sounds for long stretches of game play. 10. I felt so much more vested in the characters by having a background and story refresher. Today Joanne will finally unlock the truth about that fateful day because she's finally discovered that she's had the key right beside her all this time! Certainly not a horror game, but a very interesting psychological thriller. What I played of the game portrayed a tale of descent into madness and having a family member who struggles with mental illness, the subject matter was simply too much for me to handle.

  11. The little girl was adorable and endearing. I am slowly growing to appreciate the work of this game company. This game makes me it came straight from an acid trip in the 60 and just got brought to life! Although there are some great instances of creativity with Remembrance, I really disliked the storyline that has a young woman reliving the past and visiting the home where her parents perished in a fire. After completing the Bonus Chapter the Souvenir Room will become available to return to the scenes to search for 20 souvenirs.
