Susan and Maaron are back, but things have changed, to put it mildly. This is a good game, but without the interesting characterizations that helped to make Lost Lands games such fun. Keep an eye on your diary as it shows things that you need to know to progress through the game. I actually got so caught up in it towards the end that I forgot to complete my collections. Overall a terrific game and so worth buying. I decided to try Mistakes of the Past because I heard a lot of positive feedback on Ice Spell, the game before this one. I turned the "hand" off to make it more challenging. The HOS are silhouette, find and use scenes with many zoom in scenes and puzzles to solve.

Its almost like reading a book, or watching a movie, and you get to play a role in it. You find you have to escape from you captures and you are being timed. I decided to try Mistakes of the Past because I heard a lot of positive feedback on Ice Spell, the game before this one. The camaraderie between characters isn't part of this story. Susan and Maaron are back, but things have changed, to put it mildly. Time travel in this game, a bit of adventure. The mini-games ranged from easy to hard. Makes me sad I was enjoying the game, it won't be part of my purchased games! You can't skip some of the dialog, though, on this one. I just ignored all of it except the main gameplay, but if you're a completionist and don't like following every page of the strategy guide slavishly step by step you will drive yourself nuts looking for those half dozen of each collectible that MIGHT be in each scene. From the opening sequence I was smiling with the quality of the game graphics. Thank you developers for your efforts and excellence that is much appreciated! The interactive map works well and it also shows what morphs or collectibles need to be found Mahjongg - Ancient Egypt each scene just in case you need it. I found the Edirion scenes are interactive. Great CreaVures, devs! WOW No thank Mishakes Susan is a relatable character, and this dev does an amazing job connecting you emotionally to the storyline. It doesn't say who the developers are unless I missed it, but bravo The Enchanting Islands the devs! The CG graphic video cutscenes are extremely realistic, but what I like the most about Lost Lands, is that it's not a cookie-cutter game, they never are. What a well-rounded and intriguing game! Then you click on various Zoom Zones to find where the item can be used Interactively, which will expose the next Silhouetted Shape item that will be used in the next Zoom Zone until you Progress through all of the items.   2. Plus no icons or instructions for bonus objects. Susan is a relatable character, and this dev does an amazing job connecting you emotionally to the storyline. I actually got so caught up in it towards the end that I forgot to complete my collections.

  3. I really liked the story in this one. A morphing object in each scene is okay, as is one type of rare collectible a handful in the whole game. Graphics are amazing, and some mini games were difficult, but just the right amount of pleasure..

  4. Oh, and I was never able to catch the moths in 30 seconds - that seems like a dumb trophy. The hidden object games are silhouette where you have to find one item to use to find another, etc. Another cool feature they offer is that for each group of collections, morphs and manuscripts completed, you will earn an Achievement AND you'll receive a new Puzzle or Mini-Game in the Bonus Levels section!

  6. I wasn't bored at all for a change. Holy Arachnoids, those spiders are ginormous! A morphing object in each scene is okay, as is one type of rare collectible a handful in the whole game.

  9. I've always thought mini-games were lame when a slip of paper would appear with the solution code written on it. I did these first as I didn't want to miss any. This isn't the Lost Lands of the past, and Maaron is nowhere to be seen. But I did. I hope the next addition puts things back on track.
