Forgotten Riddles - The Mayan Princess

As the Chief Archaeologist and most experienced in Mayan culture, the Embassy has sent you to investigate the mysterious demise of the last known royal Mayan family. The royal family supposedly died in 1536, yet artifacts left by the Mayan princess have been uncovered dating back to 1556 - twenty years after her supposed death. Your mission is to solve the riddles surrounding the artifacts to uncover what really happened to the royal family.

Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by marg from Different hidden object game I bought this game back in 08, it was very Welcome to Primrose Lake with sharp graphics, I find it interesting with the riddles, it was my first game of this type and I truly enjoyed very much. The house later became an abandoned opera house. This wasn't one of my favorite games, but far from being the worst. It was refreshing in the beginning, but there wasn't enough variety of tasks to keep up my interest enough to buy the game. It also gets less interesting when you replay it as by that time all those hard riddles before come easily and there is no longer a challenge, as once Sparkle 2 solve the riddle, finding the item is most often not difficult at all. Here's where the storyline fails a bit Strangely, I still recommend you at least try it, partly because of its original gameplay, and Dolphin Dice Slots because it doesn't fall into the gothic-cutesy pit that most BF games do. So if I was slow solving the riddles and finding the objects, then I didn't have time to solve the puzzle. We challenge each other to see who can find the most hidden objects with using the least amount of hints I got agrivated and had to take several breaks with this game. Caveat: If you leave the game without having placed all the items back in the secret room puzzles, you will need Forgotten Riddles - The Mayan Princess restart that puzzle. Off to play the game!!!!! So if I was slow solving the riddles and finding the objects, then I didn't have time to solve the puzzle. I hope you at least try this game I absolutely loved this game but I had one major downfall! I played the timed mode and I think I ran out of time about 3 times and had to start all over. There are two endings for the story, depending on whether you play the Apprentice or Archaeologist mode a reason to play at least twice. Music is relaxing, accompanied by good sound effects of thunder and lightning for atmosphere. Not too hard, but a few stumpers in the riddles. Strangely, I still recommend you at least try it, partly because of its original gameplay, and partly because it doesn't fall into the gothic-cutesy pit that most BF games do. Off to play the game!!!!! If you are into riddles, then this game is for you. It was just too many riddles all at once for me. The graphics are great.

The next time you are investigating the secret room, you will have to switch back and forth between the initial scene and the new scenery to solve the riddles. You need to choose one of seven runes, read a riddle describing the object you are searching for and find the item in the scene that matches the description. AND - a biographical story line to boot! Neighbors talk about a ghostly figure making appearances and mysterious music playing from the opera house and you are investigating. You are only allowed 5 hints for each level. Off to play the game!!!!! Some of the puzzles were difficult also.

You choose a location to search for Hidden Objects, it would have been nice if the beautiful Mayan locations would have kept true to the Mayans and hadn't cluttered the scenes with modern day junkpiles, but that's not the real problem. In order to find the hidden object, you have to be able to solve the riddles. In this game, you are given a riddle that you have to solve in order to figure out what object you must find in the accompanying HOS. Here's where the storyline fails a bit It was a little longer than the first but not enough to really get your moneys worth. My family and I really enjoyed playing it.

Music is relaxing, accompanied by good sound effects of thunder and lightning for atmosphere. It's a simple but highly entertaining game that makes you think about the Hidden Objects you are tasked with finding. You choose a location to search for Hidden Objects, it would have been nice if the beautiful Mayan locations would have kept true to the Mayans and hadn't cluttered the scenes with modern day junkpiles, but that's not the real problem. This differs from a normal HOG in that, instead of a simple list of objects to find, your list of objects is only obtained by solving riddles. This was my first experience with a riddle game and I really liked it. But, then, that was part of the challenge. Visual effects are beautiful, very detailed and most are true to the period. I especially enjoyed the scenes that required scene manipulation in order to solve the room.

  1. I do have to say that, even after figuring out what object I was looking for, they were sometimes very hard to find as the majority of the objects are extremely small. I absolutely loved this game but I had one major downfall! I literally finished this game within the demo and it took less than a hour playing the full version to complete it.

  6. So I downloaded the free hr just in case Grafic clear and storyline ocay. The challenge level was good, no frustrating or hard but it did challenge me enough. It is a little different then the other HOG's because you have to find the objects based on riddles

My family and I really enjoyed playing it. You need to choose one of seven runes, read a riddle describing the object you are searching for and find the item in the scene that matches the description.

The graphics are not so clear and the scenes are more cluttered than in Moonlight Sonata, but the riddles are just as much fun and the scenes are varied and interesting. If you get stumped you can use a Gem for a hint which tells you what to look for in more depth but doesn't show you where to look. I played the timed mode and I think I ran out of time about 3 times and had to start all over.
