The story line is very refreshing, I was wanting to play something that was not about something haunted and Eco-Match and all that stuff that so many games are about. There were the usual puzzles, but every variety with little repeats and well done. All of the locations are extremely detailed, the artwork is simply incredible and the bright colors are stunning. Apart Settlers of the West the standard features like the Custom Difficulty and the interactive map, we also had the usual Fact Cards — great tools for history-lovers. The hidden object scenes are innovative and fun, with many interactive features and multiple-layered scenes. Why are they positive? I pretty much played this one straight through. On one hand, the storyline is more straightforward and thus, less exciting than those of the previous games. Game play was extremely fun, I literally couldn't wait for the next puzzle and HOPA scene so I could win more achievements. Puzzles were fun. You also earn achievements throughout the game, that makes it fun, you can play a certain way to earn an achievement!! Although there are definitely some fantasy elements to this installment of Hidden Expedition, the time travel part, for instance, we appreciated that Smithsonian Castle is much more realistic than many games released lately. I kind of feel like I have already been there through this game!! If you like history you will definitely enjoy!

Date published: The soundtracks did nothing less to impress us, the background music is soothing while not being too sleepy. On Happy Chef 3 Collectors Edition other hand, we got to explore the exquisitely-decorated rooms inside the Smithsonian castle and learnt more historical facts. Finally, when the bonus chapter is complete you Expeditioon: go back and replay the HOGs, find the Smithsoonian and collectibles you might have missed. Nice long game with lots of extras!! On one hand, the storyline is more straightforward and thus, less exciting than those of the previous games. Anyhow, the game as a whole was great! I just completed the whole Mad Mouse CE version even the bonus game. Definitely recommend the game, but I don't think the CE is worth the extra dough so I have to not recommend this CE version. I just want a nice long bonus game since the price is almost double, come on! Game play was extremely fun, I literally couldn't wait for the next puzzle and HOPA scene so I could win more achievements.


Puzzles were fun. Why are they positive? More games like this please. Apart from the standard features like the Custom Difficulty and the interactive map, we also had the usual Fact Cards — great tools for history-lovers. I get tired of all the dark gloom and doom HOGS and need a change. Had a hard time stopping to eat! So much fun!! I love it when I find a game so meticulously and lovingly designed. Anyhow, the game as a whole was great! I just want a nice long bonus game since the price is almost double, come on! This game makes me want to take a trip to the Smithsonian Castle and check it out my self!! The graphics are top-notch, the mini-games are interesting though some of them could be more challenging , and the HOPs are varied enough to be interesting and there aren't too many of them. Developers, please take note of all the positive reviews!! The morphing objects were in the HOGs, but not all of them so it made that more interesting as well.

Excellent graphics, I like all the achievements you can collect and the story line. Excellent story and fun. You get a souvenir room when you complete the bonus game and it lets you go back to each room to collect a new hidden item!! Don't cheat yourself, watch them all the way through, they're worth it. Entire game was more than fun, scenes are beautifully done. In this series:. Smithsonian Castle can be enjoyed by history geeks, as well as casual players - well done Eipix! Also educational at the same time with the fact cards that are optional reading but worth it. Game play was extremely fun, I literally couldn't wait for the next puzzle and HOPA scene so I could win more achievements. The graphics are good, the sound is non-intrusive but what I really like was that the story actually made sense and the HOGs and puzzles led the story forward. On the other hand, we got to explore the exquisitely-decorated rooms inside the Smithsonian castle and learnt more historical facts. There are morphing items, but they are only in the HOP scenes, but its ok because it has a thing that tells you if there is one in the scene and lets you know when you find it and how many more there are left to find in the game!! I earned all but two achievements on this one. Great graphics, voiceovers, music, and puzzles, although the puzzles were on the easy side.

Lots of variety in this game, always doing something different with the exception of a few boring hops. This is my favorite game of all time and I've played plenty. Oh yea one last thing I loved it!! Unlike the previous two Hidden Expedition games from Eipix, the locations in this sequel are mostly indoors, which could act as a double-edged sword really. On one hand, the storyline is more straightforward and thus, less exciting than those of the previous games. Excellent story and fun.

  1. Smithsonian Castle was fully packed with tasks, inventory items and mini-games that kept us busy at almost the entire length of the game. Of course, there are lots of great Smithsonian facts included in the game and the extras, which is fun for a museum geek like me. Great graphics, voiceovers, music, and puzzles, although the puzzles were on the easy side. On the other hand, we got to explore the exquisitely-decorated rooms inside the Smithsonian castle and learnt more historical facts.

  9. I played the game in just over 4 hours and spent another happy hour on the extra's. It could have been just a little more challenging but the fun factor made it a 5-star game for me.
