Do you have an issue with your game? There is no option for widescreen and no spoken dialogue. I wasn't too sure about this game, but when I tried it, it was really good! I also wish the game would of let me figure out things for myself. There is a lot of text dialog that you have to click through. The graphics were not that great, it was just HOs over and over. Most of the scenes I clicked and got through pretty easily. Additionally, most of the puzzles were absurdly easy. I believe that most of the negative comments come from those that do not like HOG. I was waiting for the game to improve, but it seemed to me like it was getting worse. Can't address the sound quality, etc. After 30 minutes, I had the choice to watch paint dry or continue this game, i went for the paint and found it more enjoyable.

Some of us appreciate an almost mindless game to relax. The other puzzle I had to skip was the wiring one. So far, it's definitely worth the money. I like games that have a good story line and are challenging. If I didn't have a 21" monitor, I don't think I would have been able to play at all due to the eye-straining text and the small objects. You get a few things in inventory, but its a no-brainier what to do with them. The story line Chtonicles: not one of the best but it is in keeping with the majority out there. Welcome to Primrose Lake I'm not a fan of these however Alien Hallway most of them but skipped the rotate the rings, maze, slider picture, and number pads. It is a nice game for us older players that don't like to jump from scene to scene looking for clues. The HOG scenes are a pile of little itemsnone of which are related to the flow of the game. I like games that are not so complex that you get stressed out Eastvile them.

Also if you click wrong about 3 to 4 times the cursor does a "swirly dance. The first one, matching symbols to a wheel with letters was not only confusing, but the letters never really lined up. I wanted to like it, as it's set in Seattle near my home. The cut scenes are long and consist of very hard to read test, that beg for skipping.

This needs to evolve more. No real plot, no puzzles, etc. The graphics were fairly well done, and I had fun playing the mini-games. The couple that did provide a challenge did not have a reset button, so you were forced to skip it if you didn't get it right. The mini games were different which is a good thing.


I still love the HO games, and there are HO scenes galore! I don't have time to keep track of everything. Doesn't require much thought process. You do get some inventory however there is no "wandering around" to this game or having to figure out where the inventory items go as this game does have sparkles to it, tells you what to do and what inventory to use. I know everyone has to start somewhere, but shouldn't we be past these amateurish attempts at the publishing stage? I also wish the game would of let me figure out things for myself. Certainly not fast-paced and I found the chief detective very pompous and annoying. The games are pretty simple. I do not like all the flippin puzzles, but I did like the factor you could skip them. I really enjoyed this game. I have enough in my life to keep me occupied.

It is a standard, so far, HO game and I loved it. I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone. WOW was that a nice change. The HO scenes are cluttered with tiny objects. The mini games were different which is a good thing. I fiddled with it for several minutes after I had it complete, but had to skip it in the end out of frustration. I like games that are not so complex that you get stressed out playing them. BTW, I do my best resolution for my day's problems when I work puzzles. The story line is not one of the best but it is in keeping with the majority out there. You might want to try it to see if you like it better than I did. I'm quite sure you'll love it! The game in general was quite fun.

  3. Not much of a challenge. I don't have time to keep track of everything. The hint button was amazing. Puzzles: Most are repeated throughout the game but just to name some of them: Lock picking, jig saw, slider picture as you move the pieces to form a picture, slider puzzles to get the key, rotate the rings, number pad, maze puzzle where you have to drag the ball.
