Time Twins Mosaics

The Time Twins and friends want to lead you on a tour of the past. Choose a character and join the team as you travel through the centuries, reliving the history of travel, industry and invention. If you’re a fan of picross games, you’re going to love Time Twins Mosaics. And if you’ve never tried one, there’s no time like the present! Use numeric clues to place multi-colored tiles into a grid and reveal a picture. You’ll start with some fun and easy puzzles in the early Industrial Era, but by the time you’ve reached the Space Age, you’ll be faced with big, multi-colored grids sure to test the wits of even the most seasoned puzzle-solver. This is no ordinary picross game, however, and the fun doesn’t stop with a single puzzle. The images you’ll uncover within each stage form parts of a larger depiction of the era in question. Finish the stage and watch the scene you’ve assembled come to life before your eyes! Time Twins Mosaics is both relaxing and challenging, and sometimes surprising!

Kudos to the developers for making clear and recognizable cool pictures with those squares. I liked the way after each chapter it morphed into a picture. It is lots of fun. The gameplay is smooth and enjoyable -- with just the right amount of challenge. Each Level has 6 Mosaic puzzles to solve and right from the get-go they are challenging because they are detailed images with a lot of color-shading variations on oddly shaped grids. My only complaints are that the cursor seems to lag a bit between placing it on a cell and the highlighted cross-hairs that appear to show you where you are, and I'd like a tile choice option. You have to mark the tile on each side of the group before it will mark it off. Nice change from the usual with the addition of -- believe it or not -- fun and challenging puzzle games after every few mosaic puzzles completed. You see, when I first started playing this game, I made mistakes because I was learning how to play. The tutorial is excellent and can be skipped and the gameplay is very good. I have played other mosaic games where, as soon as you color the last block in the series, the number is marked off, which is extremely helpful when you have a series of blocks with the same number, like a series of sets of 2. Which would be nice except that they are very small and each tile is tiny. I can't always tell where one ends and the next starts. If you are familiar with the gameplay, you can turn off the tutorial and go right into playing the game.

  2. All in all this is not fun to play and I am sorry I bought it. But to have to mark off the group AND the tile on each side first is too annoying. So when I click to fast or when I just had to click a lot of times on the right button, I accidentally click right, when I mean to click left or vice versa.

  3. Nice change from the usual with the addition of -- believe it or not -- fun and challenging puzzle games after every few mosaic puzzles completed. Steam punk fans especially! I have become rather bored with the mosaics offered by the same two developers, one of which has offered 38 games in just 5 years. You build it and it disassembles and rearranges in the proper place on the screen. It is lots of fun.

  4. You have to mark the tile on each side of the group before it will mark it off. And guess what often happens.. A lot of times I have started over because I want to finish the level with three stars. I just purchased after playing the demo. When you fill the last spot with color, it breaks down, flurries across the screen and arranges itself in another place.

  7. I played most of the hour and will absolutely purchase it. I guess If I had a really large monitor screen it would be O K. Congratulations to the developers.

  8. This one is different. But now, I'm pretty good at it and the mistakes I do make, most of them is not because I don't know the right solution or because I lack concentration. If they actually marked off the groups as you found them and as it said it would, then it would be great. I hope that the developers continue to make games for this series.

Unfortunately to make this a buy" for me and possible sequels , the game needs 3 critical changes: 1 Alternatives formats to the tiles stitched, LEGO, etc. I only played one and a half games, The tiles and especially the numbers are so small, I knew I would have eye strain if I tried to play very long.

  10. Those series games are perfectly fine, but there are thousands of developers out there and just as many Mosaic games, yet BF chooses the same two developers with the same two Mosaic series games each and every month. You begin by placing your "ships" of various lengths onto the grid cells, a single 4-celled ship, two 3-celled ships, three 3-celled ships, and four 1-celled ships. The pictures were nice.

  11. It's fun and challenging, and the game contains several other puzzle games to play.
