I Loved the boat maze, playing the piano and matching pairs. It is as if they are recycled from previous games in the series or from other AMAX series for that matter with little to none new ideas and zero distinctive or memorable qualities. Although the quality of the graphics is up to standard, it does not offset the impression that I have visited these scenes a hundred times before.

The Dark Tales series has long lost its charm and its attempt at originality, with each installment being more and more similar to the one before. Without spoiling the reason for it, we actually get to play as Dupin for part of this game, which is a really great change of pace. And the writtings, subtitles and the events in the game like the definition of the medecines, the collectibles, are too small and really hard to read. The other good thing I can say is that I appreciate the fact that AMAX stays on target in their games, instead of going in different directions that do not make any sense. It is as if they are recycled from previous games in the series or from other AMAX series for that matter with little to none new ideas and zero distinctive or memorable qualities.
