Midnight Calling: Arabella

Elephant Games proudly presents the next thrilling installment in the Midnight Calling series! A shipwreck has stranded you on a mysterious island and your brother has been kidnapped. As if things weren't bad enough, you learn that this is all part of a plot to use his magical powers to overthrow your father. Can you save him and your kingdom before it's too late? Find out in this thrilling hidden-object puzzle adventure!

This game should appeal to those who like vampire stories or those who love this series. My favorites in the series is Anabel and Valeria. The bonus chapter is a sequel. There are achievements to earn and the standard fluff that is found in most CE games. This is a Castle Calling you might not want to answer on your journey, and especially not at Midnight, but if you're Arabella, the things that go bump in the night are probably just your family members! Although not announced, within the secret room you will discover thirteen 13 puzzles and sixteen 16 HOP scenes you can replay after the game. I realized I did not get all the collectibles so will have to replay the game to acquire all of them. You can receive the help from a cat — or not. I liked the bonus chapter's Nautical theme. I like the series very much. Midnight Calling: Arabella adheres too closely the same-old formula, resulting in an undistinguished and unsatisfying adventure. Alessandra casts a spell on Damien and tells him of his omnipotus powers in an attempt to influence him and turn him against you. In this series:. I also wish Elephant would provide an indicator bar to show if there are collectibles within a scene which need to be located. On the music side, the voice-overs are effective and the background music is generally solid, although can get repetitive at times.

I was a bit disappointed in the length, it was three short chapters that lead to one short game. As the next ruler of the vampires, your brother, Damien, is endowed with special powers. I liked only about five puzzles and I did like the hops, except the matching that you had to move things to find each one, I really don't like them. Peace and blessings. He's quite. I thought the characters were done well but felt the reading voices were aimed at a younger audience. Play Arabella, daughter of Chamberlain, leader of Midnight Calling: Arabella vampires. However, Elephant provides scenes which alternate searching The Legacy: Forgotten Gates Collectors Edition lists of items with searching for silhouette items. Date published: Rated 4 out of 5 by Majestyx12 from I couldn't skip the 15 sec puzzles fast enough Based on the completed game with bonus material I bought it because I thought it was fun and I liked the subject matter. Most are of middle difficulty, although Chase for Adventure: The Lost City are Cafe Mahjongg ones as well. Megalithic-sized Zumas Revenge in the Midnight Calling: Arabella and huge castles. I like the series very much. Midnight Castle fans know that it's not about what happens in the Castle, it's all about the journey to the Castle. The insets to place things was way over the top too many.

I liked the game but there are things I didn't like, so I don't know how to star it. I did not find any challenging puzzles. Turn up the environmental sound on your headphones. The adventure portion of the game is tricky, with very unique tasks to solve and a climactic ending that is unpredictable. The storyline in this sequel is completely unrelated to all the previous editions of the series and I think that's what makes this particular game more appealing. There are no morphs and no alternate games available in either version. He helped me by getting things out of reach. Your efforts to follow the kidnapper are in vain as he blocks your path with brambles that must be removed before you can follow. He's quite. The Mini-Games tend to be on the easy-breezy side of the spectrum, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, easy can be fun too. Will you be able to save Damien from his kidnapper? The HOPS include the usual suspects with the requisite variety.

The puzzles were fun although not difficult, making this an easy-breezy game that will Arabslla to a variety of gamers from young to old. I liked the boat sequence as you must get around obstacles in your path. The simplicity of the game persists with the puzzles, as most them can be solved in under a minute and are as standard as can be. Connect like Fables of the Kingdom to remove them. I wish more developers would offer this option. They have a great story line the hos are not to Midnight Calling: Arabella I will admit I did Mad Mouse stuck on a couple that took Paris 1925 a while to do. Midnight Calling: Arabella has a standard Midnigyt of five hours I played casually and took my time and the bonus chapter added another hour or so. Ferns, ivy and weeds! Personally, I feel this better than the previous games in this series. However, your Aunt Alessandra, sister of your father, wants to usurp him as ruler.

I wish more developers would offer this option. I had a choice to keep him and I did. I enjoyed finding Statuettes, morphing and picture fragments. However, the puzzles are good and varied, the HOPS have some unique challenges that take them out of the same old ho hum realm. Most are lists of items or silhouette. The main game is short; however, the bonus game is almost one-third the size of the main game. I also wish Elephant would provide an indicator bar to show if there are collectibles within a scene which need to be located. This game is good from the first second I liked only about five puzzles and I did like the hops, except the matching that you had to move things to find each one, I really don't like them. However, I would say that this game is so good, that the SE will be a great buy too! I couldn't go back and pick up the shard and morph I missed. You can receive the help from a cat — or not.

Here's a list of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo: 1-Move the ball through the maze by choosing highlighted areas. They have a great story line the hos are not to bad I will admit I did get stuck on a couple that took me a while to do. We completed the main game in three hours and twenty minutes, and the blasted through the bonus chapter in just 30 minutes. The silhouette items require interaction with the scene. Kudos to Elephant and may this excellent saga continue with future additions. Alessandra casts a spell on Damien and tells him of his omnipotus powers in an attempt to influence him and turn him against you. My only complaint is that I'd love to see more realistic graphics versus the cartoon style graphics this series has. Toward the end, I had about enough of straining my eyes because the scale of scenes are small and the guide pictures are Super small. The story deals with vampire royalty, jealousy, and family intrigue. Some of the HOP's were quite creative in the way they were presented and the locations themselves were beautiful, but they are much better after the demo where they become more complex. I liked the game but there are things I didn't like, so I don't know how to star it. Play this wonderful new game as you use everything in your power to save your beloved younger brother. There are several "logic fails" right from the get-go too, like when the druid disappears through brambles that were so thick it required me to find and use a tool two seconds later! The choice is yours and will in no way change the course of the game.

  1. The gears will spin if placed correctly G. This is an extremely straightforward game with clear objectives and plenty of challenges. I think you will enjoy the game too. You can only switch items which are the same color or item.

  2. There are also several tried and true HOPA cliche items used throughout the game, the famous container of Magic Oil that removes 30 years worth of rust, a glass shard knife, a hive of angry bees and of course, a vial of green acid that eats through a solid chunk of metal instantly. You can receive the help from a cat — or not. I thinks fans of Midnight Calling and those who are new to this series will enjoy this one and I recommend this lengthy and engaging mystery adventure.

  4. Pirates have kidnapped his friend and he needs her help. The CE version also features 12 Statue Figurines of all the Midnight Calling Characters from Anabel to the Wise Dragon, which I thought was a cool idea, but the collectibles and Morphs are fairly large and hard to miss. Some practically jump out at you — a little too large, in my opinion. Personally, I feel this better than the previous games in this series. I did get quite the feeling, that many off these places were real!

  5. There are achievements to earn and the standard fluff that is found in most CE games. Including the castles AND the occasional, weird decorations This dev either has some sort of love connection with cliche,cookie-cutter, staple HOPA features, or lacks enough imagination to think outside the box, because all of their games basically have the same tasks, there's always going to be a key inside of a nest, a cobweb covering a much needed item etc.

  6. You get to see Anabel and Callum. Graphic's are great. They have a great story line the hos are not to bad I will admit I did get stuck on a couple that took me a while to do.

  7. I couldn't go back and pick up the shard and morph I missed. Ferns, ivy and weeds! Can you stop the plan before the rebels succeed?

  8. The CE version also features 12 Statue Figurines of all the Midnight Calling Characters from Anabel to the Wise Dragon, which I thought was a cool idea, but the collectibles and Morphs are fairly large and hard to miss. Water everywhere, streaming and winding. Midnight Calling: Arabella has a standard length of five hours I played casually and took my time and the bonus chapter added another hour or so.

  9. Some hops had you find things on a list and then find like five morphing objects, these I Love. And, more importantly, why would anyone want to kidnap him. 10. I found the puzzles much better in this chapter. Your efforts to follow the kidnapper are in vain as he blocks your path with brambles that must be removed before you can follow. Just gorgeous. The simplicity of the game persists with the puzzles, as most them can be solved in under a minute and are as standard as can be. If you, like me, prefer the CE version of a game you can find a variety of collectibles as well as morphing objects.

  11. The further you play, the more you find a balanced mix - cartoonish to more realistic, but all with great, spot-on perspectives. You can receive the help from a cat — or not. Kudos to Elephant and may this excellent saga continue with future additions. Most are lists of items or silhouette.

  12. Most are of middle difficulty, although there are easy ones as well. Happy gaming! Bad news, there is a Kitten Helper! It does not display many objects upfront, and I disliked having to move it back-and-forth to view all the available inventory items.

  13. This scene also includes a mirror jigsaw puzzle and a switch puzzle as well. There are several "logic fails" right from the get-go too, like when the druid disappears through brambles that were so thick it required me to find and use a tool two seconds later!
