Donna Brave: And the Deathly Tree

Mad Head Games presents the next adventure in their new Donna Brave series! Donna Brave is on the case again, investigating a strange tree that grabs and poisons its victims, but when her childhood friend Kathi becomes the next victim, the case gets personal. Investigate the strange manor house and unlock the secrets behind this deathly tree, before you get ensnared by its deadly roots in this chilling hidden-object puzzle adventure game!

Each scene in the CE version also has a hidden Magnifying glass to find as well, which unlocks Bonus Content once they have all been collected, some of which are nicely blended into the scenery. I won't rehash the story line or details because others before me have done a great job of it. And the victims' names are tacked up on a sign post at the end of the driveway. Again we have tools in this game: the medaillon, known from the first adventure, and a special box, which reveals parts of the background story in riddles. If you can't present a complete SE game then don't bother. I am shocked; absolutely shocked that Mad Head would put their name on this bottom-of-the-barrel game. Like it's refilling. If you played the first one, I cannot see how you would not welcome this refreshing game. Next up, I've got to melt some ice, do I use my matches, do I use my kerosene lantern, of course not, they won't do the job, but I can use a single match to catch a stick on fire without any fuel! I'm more than a little upset that MHG dropped the ball with this uninteresting and ridiculous plot. Perhaps this developer will go back to its roots and put more time and effort into creating the games that are worthy of having the Mad Head name on them. The game drags because there is very little action. Happy gaming! The Story intriguing.

The barking dog in chapter 5 was irritating. For starters, the game supposedly takes place somewhere around , yet Kathi is spelled with an i not a y, which I can't imagine parents in the 's doing. There aren't a whole lot of HOP's or MG's for that matter , and there are no alternate puzzles available. I know the Mad Head team can do it because they are so talented, and I look forward to what they can do with a sequel in the Donna Brave series. Otherwise, why do we play them? I liked the maze the best and I didn't like the fight scene. To make matters worse, the graphics are horrible at times, close ups in some scenes make everything look like it was drawn for a cartoon. IF there is another game in this series, I hope that the wonderful team at Mad Head Games will go back to the basics and create a terrific mystery like the Strangler of Paris or even like the Adam Wolfe games that are inspired and top-shelf games. When Donna arrives at the manor, surrounded by a beautiful park, she is not a minute too late, as the friend is being attacked by the roots of a tree. There is a gimmick which is a box in which you can put an item and then see the story about it. This game is not so saturated with amulets and locks and keys as some games are. Hence the killer tree which snatches up its victims and is supposedly indestructible. Kathi's dad has figured out the solution! Sadly, I was so put off by the presentation of the game that I found it difficult to concentrate and stay involved. The tree roots also cover things in ice.

There are Silhouetted Shape finds, Matching Pairs and scenes where you place objects into the scene instead of taking them out. Enjoy and have fun! Sadly, I was so put off by the presentation of the game that I found it difficult to concentrate and stay involved. A masterly told crime story. This is a total buy for me. I have not been disappointed but greatly pleased. I know the Mad Head team can do it because they are so talented, and I look forward to what they can do with a sequel in the Donna Brave series. When Donna arrives at the manor, surrounded by a beautiful park, she is not a minute too late, as the friend is being attacked by the roots of a tree. Why send them to you when people are now dying in her house? Bad stuff: The time periods are strangely mixed and the characters look like paper cutouts with little movement or life. Now dad informs me that her wounds are lethal and she has 24 hours to live. A masterly told crime story. The Donna Brave: And the Deathly Tree thing I noticed was the lack of lip movement when a character speaks. As this plant has matured into a living tree with poison deadly enough to take lives, and now your friend, Kathi, is in danger and seeks your help. Once I Evoly my bestie from the killer tree, and drag her body inside, her father decides to help, so I heave Kathi's limp body into dads arms. Please try the demo, as Drawn: Trail of Shadows Collectors Edition changing time periods and lack of character and skill in anything will convince you too that this was a black day at Mad Head! Enjoy and have fun! Sadly, I was so put off by the presentation of the game that I found it difficult to concentrate and stay involved.

Thank goodness I don't remember coming upon a single tool that needed to be sharpened nor a missing zipper pull. Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by miansc from A Donna Brave Sequel I beta tested this game some time ago and have been waiting to see its arrival. It is all a nightmare trip from that point as characters disappear and the tree gets more threatening. I didn't have some of the issues that others have had like with graphics, story line, "being unbelievable". You can customize the difficulty of the game and I usually do when its offered. I must destroy the vile death tree, or Kathi will die in less than a day! I'm more than a little upset that MHG dropped the ball with this uninteresting and ridiculous plot. A lot of people rated this game low, which I get and they have every right to do because they might hate it and it's their opinion. Yes, morphs in every scene and in the hops. As this signals the end of the Demo, you will be as happy to get out as most players will be! Take it for a spin, see what you think. The story is a bit bizarre because the villain has perfected genetically modifying plants. Next up, I've got to melt some ice, do I use my matches, do I use my kerosene lantern, of course not, they won't do the job, but I can use a single match to catch a stick on fire without any fuel! Others were easy enough to sail through. And you run thru the house repeatedly, to little purpose.

Kathi's dad has Donan out the solution! Since we all have differing tastes in games I recommend that you try the demo to see if this game might be one you will enjoy. I think too slow if I have to wait and wait to find it. To some, the effort may have fallen flat but I kinda liked this game. There is a bit of back and forth but its usually within two or three scenes in the game The Mysterious City: Vegas the map is a jump map. Hence the killer tree which snatches up its victims and is supposedly indestructible. Donma morphs Deathlu generous and they have a good indicator. There is a gimmick which is a box in which you can put an item and then see the story about it.

  1. I must destroy the vile death tree, or Kathi will die in less than a day! I may not like the story, but I loved the bling available in the Collector's Edition version. Date published: Rated 4 out of 5 by nadaze2da from How does your garden grow? A buy for sure. Should have read the reviews

  2. After the game, you can go back and get the morphs and collectibles. The Mini Games are far too simplistic in my opinion, and there just aren't enough of them, at least not in the demo. I haven't seen anything "new" in a long time.

  3. After the game, you can go back and get the morphs and collectibles. Boring, unoriginal, short, unchallenging And the victims' names are tacked up on a sign post at the end of the driveway. It's a generous hops game that you choose items from the list and it puts more items on the list.

  4. Mad Head Games should have made this new series more like an Agatha Christie murder mystery. Then Kathi's dad mentions two different time frames for her death. There is only one replay puzzle and you have to earn it. The medaillon uncovers the history of an object, when put into it.

  5. Date published: They even spelt 'Donna' wrong in the dialogue, that is how much effort was put into it. Should have read the reviews So, as for this HOG, it's very interactive Finally a game with no red eyed demons or missing relatives to look for.

  6. Hence the killer tree which snatches up its victims and is supposedly indestructible. Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by JocastaSilver from Save Your Friend From the Evil Tree The title character's extremely cheesy name aside, this was an excellent game with great visuals, well done voice acting, and shocking plot twists. I'm sure it's hard to deal with entrenched camps who hate HOPs or hate puzzles. It was an excellent game and I have enjoyed replaying it. The barking dog in chapter 5 was irritating.

  7. I haven't played the whole game so if that's in there, sorry. Kathi sent you petals of a flower that will save a victim from a tree attack. Sadly, I was so put off by the presentation of the game that I found it difficult to concentrate and stay involved. Again we have tools in this game: the medaillon, known from the first adventure, and a special box, which reveals parts of the background story in riddles. I liked over half of the puzzles.

  8. After playing this game, I immediately bought the first game. Now dad informs me that her wounds are lethal and she has 24 hours to live. It is not a five star game but I think it comfortably fits into the 4 star category.
