Echoes of the Past: The Castle of Shadows Collectors Edition

This is a special Collector's Edition release full of exclusive extras you won’t find in the standard version. As a bonus, Collector's Edition purchases count toward three stamps on your Monthly Game Club Punch Card! The Collector’s Edition includes:

The story in the beginning is excellent and already holds you! This isn't an easy game, I found myself looking at the Strategy Guide on more than one occasion, which is something I don't usually do, so for that reason alone I recommend the Collectors Edition over the Standard Edition. There was voice acting again in this game which was done well. I did play in expert mode, and even the hidden object scenes were not highlighted. It did not bother me too much to affect the rating. I enjoyed this and would recommend it, but would advise players to make their own map as they go along. You're no stranger to the Royal House, who seems to have a bond with you, and insists that you solve all problems created by that bitter and relentless witch. Another featured artifact is a beautiful golden Amulet stand, the whereabouts of the Amulet itself is a mystery. All "Echoes of the Past" are excellent and very enjoyable games! At first the puzzles were easy like the first game Royal House of Stone , but once you progressed to the castle they got a little more challenging. Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by Hookedonbigfish from Up with the best - Excellent This game is akin to the Ravenhearst and Dire Grove games. Didn't like how there is no map, so that you had to remember how to get to various areas or wander through the game until you remembered which direction to go in.

D'accroche Echoes of the Past: The Castle of Shadows Collectors Edition badoo

All "Echoes of the Past" are excellent and very enjoyable games! My favorite was correctly placing figurines upon two shelves with only scraps of torn images as clues. Each scene contains two mirrors that aren't on the list, which will give you an extra hint for each mirror found, however the hint system is very vague outside if the hidden object scenes. Many places to go, lots to do, very interactive and The Others game. The first time you play the HOP, the items are interactive list finds. Puzzles interesting with the right twists to keep you puzzling they are puzzles, isn't it? As in the others two installments of the series, it's an enjoyable game likely to keep you addicted to the story in progress and admiring the graphics. Your destination into the past reveals this mystery, that evil witch is at it again! Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by WarmBuns from Better than first Echoes of the Past game The storyline kept making want to see the ending. There is a fair amount of backtracking, to find various items which are to be used in other places but Zuzu & Pirates would not have it any other way in a C. Sound is great! Buy it, well worth the money. The plot is to find numerous items to free several ghosts to gather vital pieces of an amulet that was broken and Mad Mouse throughout the various scenes Iron Sea Defenders the game. So I had to resort to the strategy guide a few times which I hate!

However, overall I really enjoyed it and will now replay the earlier games of the series I had already bought.. The first time you play the HOP, the items are interactive list finds. Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by neilskinut from Get them all All the echoes of the past are great fun games. So I had to resort to the strategy guide a few times which I hate! The second time you revisit that scene, you will replace items found from a different scene back into that scene where they belong. I enjoyed this and would recommend it, but would advise players to make their own map as they go along. I would recommend the easier mode for this one and then it would be great. All "Echoes of the Past" are excellent and very enjoyable games! Not too much moving all around to keep play flowing. The game was quite long and very fun. My favorite was correctly placing figurines upon two shelves with only scraps of torn images as clues. Granted the first game had a grainy resolution for the Hidden Object Scenes and so did this one, but what made the difference was the spacing of the objects in this game.

The plot is to find numerous items to free several ghosts to gather vital pieces of Legacy: World Adventure amulet that was broken and strewn throughout the various scenes in the game. Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by margmac58 from nice game this game was fun to polay and the graphics were great. The Mini Games are my favorite part of this series. My favorite was correctly tne figurines upon two shelves with only scraps of torn images as clues. The dialogue is interesting and to the point - no wasted hoo har. The lack of a map, as others have noted, was a detriment. The puzzles and mini games were what you would expect in a Collectors Edition, most require plenty of thought and require careful attention to the subtle clues in the Tbe, together with referal to the journal or diary constantly. I do recommend this game because it is the back story for the next Echoes of the Past game called "The Citadels of Time". Orneon is fast becoming a favorite of mine, their games are always great. Your destination into the past reveals this mystery, that evil witch is at Gods vs Humans again! Although, you could tell that the actors were trying really hard to make an accent for the character speaking that was not their natural accent. Each scene contains two mirrors that aren't on the list, which will give you an extra hint for each mirror found, however the hint system is very vague outside if the hidden object scenes. This was not good because you literally have to click ths everything in every room to find them.

Although, you could tell that the actors were trying really hard to make an accent for the character speaking that was not their natural accent. The graphics are excellent, and also the effects. Now maybe that was a good thing since I wasn't as tempted to peek at the solutions but it was awkward. However, overall I really enjoyed it and will now replay the earlier games of the series I had already bought.. Really good Atmosphere. Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by Hookedonbigfish from Up with the best - Excellent This game is akin to the Ravenhearst and Dire Grove games. Sometimes the games were so baffling that I just had to "skip" because I had no idea what was needed Sound is great! Granted the first game had a grainy resolution for the Hidden Object Scenes and so did this one, but what made the difference was the spacing of the objects in this game.

The Hidden Object Scenes are very well done. Each scene contains two mirrors that aren't on the list, which will give you an extra hint for each mirror found, however the hint system is very vague outside if the hidden object scenes. Throughout the kingdom you will see several "ghostly" objects, grey and misty, which are missing objects that need replaced once found. Granted the first game had a grainy resolution for the Hidden Object Scenes and so did this one, but what made the difference was the spacing of the objects in this game. And there is no map, so you have no idea where to go in expert mode. The puzzles can be challenging toward the end. Many places to go, lots to do, very interactive and interesting game.. The lack of a map, as others have noted, was a detriment. Sound is great! As I stated earlier, this is a difficult game at times, and the fact that I could use the built in Strategy Guide when I got stumped, was invaluable, enjoy! They tried something different with the hidden objects and I think it really worked. The story in the beginning is excellent and already holds you! Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by Shirleyscott55 from Not a bad game to play The story line was way to long but I enjoyed this game like all HOG. The Mini Games are my favorite part of this series. My favorite was correctly placing figurines upon two shelves with only scraps of torn images as clues.

  3. And there is no map, so you have no idea where to go in expert mode. Ghostly spirits will also appear with a dilemma of sorts, once you solve their dilemma, they will reward you with a piece of that all important Amulet. Almost every puzzle is unique even though this is an older game. Orneon is fast becoming a favorite of mine, their games are always great.
