Daily Magic Productions invites you to investigate another mystery in their creepy Dark Dimensions series. Your college friend, Ashley, contacts you out of the blue, desperate for help. Someone – or something – has been following her, and the authorities won't listen. So you head to Everton to lend a hand... but you arrive to a city in chaos. Dangerous shadows have overrun the town, possessing living creatures and taking frightening forms. What's worse? They seem singularly focused on your friend! The hidden object scenes come in all different kinds. It never crossed my mind that these are possibly live actors. Since you are fighting the shadows of a strange origin, you are going to have to use the well known principle - light casts out darkness. I liked this game a lot. Easy too, although some of the things you have do are somewhat baffling like the HO Scene in the food truck: press a lemon to get its juice into a glass, then pour the juice over a hot lid in order to retrieve a hot dog with tongs, pour mustard over the sausage, and keep it in your Incredible Dracula: Chasing Love to give it later to a dog giving mustard to a The Chronicles of Noahs Ark All and all I enjoyed my time playing this game and It's a game I would play again. Some put out games where the animation and artwork is so lifelike I have to think for a bit about whether a game is employing real actors or is just supremely well-drawn. If you are familiar with the Dark Dimensions series, or have played any other titles from Daily Magic — then Shadow Pirouette should be a no-brainer for you. Dark Dimensions: Shadow Pirouette is not a short game; the main game lasted around 4 hours and the bonus chapter took us an hour to complete. Everything looks normal sometime even pretty which I like. A few of the mini games didn't have instructions but good thing I'm a expert player was able to figure them out without a problem. Once you collect a set of three silhouettes, you can watch a very short clip of a movie that eventually tells you the story about the evil entities.

I like that it's a bit creepy but everything isn't broken down, ugly, infested with bugs etc. I can't penalize a game just because I don't like the subject matter. Yes I know, all of them are very similar and seem to follow a set pattern of find this and do that, then solve a puzzle for a bit of a break but I still love the genre and can generally find something I love in each new game that comes along. Moreover, the game includes a Magic Lantern that can help you chase out dark shadows — nothing exciting here. The challenge in the adventure part of the game is nowhere to be found; except for the fact that you need to do a painful amount of backtracking. I would probably give it a 4 but I'm giving it a 5 to make up for all the undeserved low ratings. With this game however, we get a Magic Lantern that's powered by a magic crystal, to make matters worse, the lantern looks like a star studded Christmas ornament, I just can't take it seriously. The Hidden Object Scenes are mostly Interactive Listed Items, most of the scenes have some type of puzzle to solve such as arranging bottles on shelves to create an image. Daily Magic Developers pulled out all the stoppers and obviously poured their hearts into an outstanding fun gaming experience. In addition, non-human objects have a cartoonish look to them. I did like all the interactive HOPs. Unfortunately they are boring and unchallenging in spite of being interactive.

If you are familiar with the Dark Dimensions series, or have played any other titles from Daily Magic — then Shadow Pirouette should be a no-brainer for you.   1. Packed with fun and entertainment, many well-drawn, colorful detailed scenes. Write a post! The hidden object scenes are better though, many of them featured some smart interactions.

  2. They explain why the game is fun. Objects interact with each other…not always logically, but they are a bit complex at least. As the game progresses the player grows the smaller center section by attaching to additional sections as it moves around within the larger square.

The first requires moving 5 stars connected by "virtual lines" into the right anchor position so the lines do not cross.

  9. The Collector's Edition has the addition of collectible figurine silhouettes in groups of three, for 10 separate scenes. You are left totally in the dark. Both of those theories are dead wrong, by the time you arrive, the "Shadows" have taken over the entire town. I also liked the mini story games where you had to perform several tasks.

The game's graphics are pretty good with a lot of blues,pinks and purples.

You will find the interactive transporter type map during the first HOP in the game. The guide is useless. Bearing this in mind, this game still took an inordinately long time to complete.
